Normally, to launch a group in FP, you need to have the group window open. However, the friends list blocks the view of queue numbers on the Inner Sphere map. What you can do is click on the Launch button and press ESC at the same time. This closes the group window at the same time as launching the search process, allowing you to see queue numbers.

Best thing would prolly be just to get the solaris UI to work for faction play as well.
