I stopped doing it for the past 2 weeks or so. Just gives me more time to do other things before the match starts.

Should the system be scrapped completely? I remember making a topic asking if there should be more maps and game modes to vote for instead of 4 and 2 at a time and a different voting mechanism. Maybe try that to spice up QP.... if it's possible.

I always play the mini game. Vote for what you think other people will not vote for. Unless someone in the group asks for something special.

it's pointless to do it, it doesn't give you a "voice" because the amount of time you have to get a map you don't like just to get a multiplier strong enough to give you a map you DO like ends up being statistically meaningless and equivalent to getting the map you like by chance anyway so there's really no point in voting

I always vote for the least liked mode/map... Back in the day the Maps and modes were random.... then they allowed players to select Skirmish or Conquest or Assault... Most everyone selected Skirmish so all the 10 players who liked Conquest threw a forum fit so they created the system we have today... actually not exactly... when it first came out you couldn't build up your votes...so 1 or 2 maps were always selected and Skirmish guess what happened...yes the Whinetrain again... then it became what it is today.

I vote off skirmish and domination at all costs, anything to stop Nascar. I also vote for Viridian / Therma / Caustic / Forest Colony as I'm quite comfortable on those maps and know that most players are not. If it's a choice between garbage and total garbage (e.g. Canyon vs HPG/Mining Colony) I vote for garbage, as it's less objectionable. People who believe that voting does nothing are very, very wrong. Get out there and vote people!

Voting on maps and modes is mandatory..

If you don't, you get stuck on Solaris or Rubellite in a LRM boat..

Most people don't vote, you can see it when you observe how vote % change.

I always vote when Solaris atroCity and that other "new" map appears. And, people who vote for anything other than skirmish, domination or assault have a special place in hell reserved for them.

I voted for Conquest if possible and against Domination/Skirmish and also for Maps like Caustic, Terra, Tourmaline against the usual ****.

But i have stopped playing and the one match for the Holiday Bonus was the opposite of fun...

I vote on other modes depending on speed, range & firepower
I vote on maps depending on range and heat efficiency

Do I vote, sometimes.
Mostly only to stay away from Solaris City.

Usually it doesn't matter as I pilot something that can perform well enough on all maps.
And the worst thing isn't the map but the MM putting all LRM boats and ecm on one side on polar, not getting polar itself.

Personally I think random was better.
Sure sometimes you got a bad map for you're build, but that averaged out easy enough.

Yeah it's just another "loading" screen to get past by.

If PGI at least would've implemented a simple "next match" button at the end of rounds screen so we wouldn't have to go back to the mechlab every match.

Why do people dislike Solaris City? Even when I started playing MWO a couple of months ago in the Revenant with LRMs, I still liked that map. It's got so much potential if you play it right.

How do you get stuck in an LRM boat?
Just don't use LRMs and you'll never have that problem.
Hell, I don't even own a single LRM launcher. They're better off as C-Bills.
