What is the difference between the two (other than a added AMS) that makes the 5S over a thousand MC more expensive and nearly 3 million cbills more?

How so? I thought when you stripped everything off, the underlying chassis were both identical (obviously with the exception of the additional AMS hardpoint on the 5S).

The 3F has the best torso twist of all the Stalkers. The 5S is a waste of cbills and a waste of space. They shouldnt have even bothered putting it into the game. All the other stalkers outperform it.

The only way it would be useful is if AMS receives a huge boost so that you can protect your team with dual AMS. Until them its a waste of time.

Don't forget there is a HUGE difference in torso twist angle between the two. The 3F is unique in that it twists much farther. See the comparison here:

To me this advantage is huge.

I have the 5M, 5S, and the 3F. The 3F is the best one due to the torso twist, but the others are alright. I got three of them so I could unlock the 2nd tier skills. Can't do that with just one of them. There are plenty of decent types of setups you can do on them, but this is my favorite setup. There are plenty of other more balanced builds, but that's probably my favorite. For a while I ran a more heat efficient setup using large lasers instead (also faster with the 310 engine, but I prefer the PPC over the LL.

I find the 5M best. 4 PPCs, TAG, 5 SSRM, 280XL, 17DHS and near full armour. Accept no substitute. Torso twist is adequate combined with J turns and unlocks.

3F and 5S I run with LRMs and mediums. I do prefer the 3F to the 5S though. I run 4mlas 1llas 45 tubes + BAP on the 5S, tend to stay at range more where the second AMS is more effective. 5MLAS, TAG, 50 tubes and a bigger engine on the 3F - direct fire with TAG and get around the 200-250m range.

I have master + 300k xp on the 5M, so thats definitely my favorite ride. Master + 125k on the 3F and Master + 50k on the 5S.


4H is ok with artemis and 2 LRM20, I mastered that one but havent used it since. The N is just pants though, gave up on it after elite.
