Just wanted to make one of these myself.

Either way, I recently noticed that "let's NASCAR left / clockwise, they'll never expect that". works a lot better than "don't NASCAR" when said on coms or typed in chat. People still get to satisfy their "gotta go fast" Sanic urges but with how lances are usually distributed, the faster Mechs will eventually converge on the position of the slower Mechs while the enemy trickles into your ever condensing murder ball.

To defeat the NASCAR, you must become the NASCAR.

Well, or act like you're the NASCAR because you're really not, but for some reason, people love their NASCAR so much that you gotta replace "group up" with something that caters to that.

I'm only semi memeing BTW, this actually worked well in solo queue when I tried it. I know it's not much in terms of play calling, but it's about the extent of what I can be bothered to do.

Homey....going LEFT (continually making a right turn) is clockwise, going RIGHT (normal, continually making a left turn) is counter-clockwise in relation to yourself.

Going clockwise absolutely does work on certain maps/spawns, because you can stack enough firepower to smash the first couple of fast reds and begin the snowball.

****, I'm ********.

You're right, that's what I meant. I somehow mixed up clockwise and counterclockwise. Shouldn't post during playoff football.

On large maps where you just know there's gonna be some fast lights outrunning their medium/heavy/assaults trying to be the first to get to shoot the enemy assault in the back... streak boaters can clean up by going clockwise instead. 18 SSRMs can 1-volley kill a piranha charging in at you.

The funny part about all these nascar threads is everyone blames the positioning or speed of the assaults or the lights but really its the guys in between that hurt it the most often. Or that guy in a fast heavy who blocks an assault from moving forward by standing still in the way until he sees the enemy and then takes off running away at full speed.

It works even better, because your own Lights will (or should) still bolt to the right, only now the main body will intercept the enemy Lights and lock down the attention of the enemy bigs so the friendly Lights can much their butts.
