There are times when a Strike is far more useful. Case in point, at 1:22 a Strike at the enemy blob would have netted him some sweet damage. Flea can position itself for a good Strike because it is so fast and tiny.

And then every other time you are in a pitched fight and wish you had that second coolshot instead.
There is no right or wrong answer here.

I pilot the Flea only in FP, so cant comment much, but I rarely gets drawn into pitched fights in the first place. With a fragile mech like the Flea, dictating the engagement range/time/place should be the priority, IMO. And the liberal use of your mates as cover. I don't use it like the Wolfhound.

In QP, where you get put into carrying positions, pitched fights are common and I always have two coolshots for it. Specifically, my 17 with 5SL and 2 MPL has two and a strike because I had spare nodes from skimping on heat gen, but the version that swaps them to ERSL and the version running 7SPL both need to spend those nodes on other things.

To be honest, i am not the best at strikes. Rarely do I ever use them unless I am in FP. Cpp; Shot and a good UAV have saved my bacon more times than I can count. With most of the builds out there maximizing their Alpha not to many of my chosen prey (assaults and heavies) can go the long haul.

Yeonne is correct, with the current state of QP, a good light player is usually doing most of the teams work. Either through engagement or just flat out playing chicken run with whomever will chase them. A Flea 20 would be great with strikes, damn thing can go anywhere and not be seen and drop down the best strike. However I have see way to many lights die because they did not have a cool shot and opted for a strike instead.

I'm also a little grossed out by how often he gets away with full on stopping to shoot.
Situational awareness
BTW how was the quality of the video for ya'll? 1080p? I am trying out OBS and kicking shadowplay to the curb, and still trying out settings.
