Rather than the usual events that focus on a particular featured chassis or game mode, this event would feature a 'mech of the player's choice and would encourage them to use it multiple times and hone their skill in that one ride.
Play 25 matches with a single mech from your 'mech bay.
Win 10 matches with one 'mech.
Score 5000 Cumulative damage with one 'mech.
Spend 500,000 C-Bills or more customizing a 'mech's loadout in a single purchase.
Rewards: 2 'mech colors, cockpit item, and 2,500,000 C-Bills.
The sticking point here would likely be whether or not the current event system can track this sort of thing, so the particulars may need to be adjusted.

or for rewards, a free one-shot camo paint and/or color or MC equivalent (500 MC for the lesser colors)
double rewards for founders and / or Gold Mech Skin Owners.

The event requiring the player to use the exact same mech would also prevent the common complaint of suiciding. Doing so would be utterly pointless, as the player would have to wait until the end of the match anyways to use that mech again to continue the event.

Well that's a weird bug. I didn't write the same paragraph twice in the previous post.

Kilroy, you have an interesting idea here.
However, I don't think the current MWO game functions can track it, so they would have to develop something new to watch that kind of Event Structure. Also, they would have to allow at least a week of time to do it in. Plus, there would have to be a 'Change & Reset' Button to allow the player to change their Mech at the cost of their entire Current Event Progression, making sure that they had to do it all with one given Mech anyway. To deck it off, PGI's Staff would also have to split those items into Separate Challenges, having the bunch of Rewards spread out over them, but still require that they were ALL done with a Single Mech, and have the needed checks in-place to ensure that. More than likely, there would also have to either be a wait until after the Event is over to receive anything, or allow any Rewards Claiming to actively prevent using the big 'Change & Reset' Button that might have been usable before that was done.
Yeah... It's definitely tricky. But, that does seem like an interesting Event Challenge Set. We could probably look forward to having this kind of Event in the game, but only if a PGI Developer wanted to try to help set something like this up.
