Call me a purist, but it just kills my immersion completely when I see mechs, friend or foe, with huge chainsaws, mohawks and whatever on them. Therefor, I ask for a "bolt-on free mode" where, if I opt for it, it doesn't show any bolt-ons at all in game. For those of us who like to preserve a little bit of Battletech feeling.
