Took me more than that to be honest. I don't use flamers normally and I actually thought the challenge was broken at first because it kept telling me I only managed 1 damage per match for like the first 3-4 matches. I had no clue it only did 0.1 damage per second. Even after I figured that out, even running 3-4 flamers only got me a few damage per match. I think it was the most pain in the rear end challenge I have ever done.

I just put 4 Flamers on my Nova and got it in 4 matches...however it was tedious

seeing that i did this in 2 games where i was actually trying (and a few where i just happened to have flamers equipped), im going to have to disagree with the notion that this is the hardest event ever. 'to the victors' keeps that title. holy hell that one was frustrating and hard and it took more than a couple games.

Try it in QP, that is all I am going to say.

well i could do that for science.

i was mostly using the fact that solaris treats flamers differently, trading heat for damage to avoid stunlock. while this makes flamers really non viable for solaris, it does make them more effective at racking up damage, at least thats my theory.

i did it in quick play and managed 7. granted the red team didnt like this and then jumped me. whatever solaris does to the damage, its not much if anything at all.
