Sure it does, Its kind of all that matters anymore. Wins are handed out each game before it even starts.

My last couple of event payouts for +500ms have been on losses. Interestingly, none were with AMS. All my big scores are in ATM mechs. All the benefits of LRMs, but much more rewarding for close range play.

so did doing a thousand damage in my ultraviolet. i do believe we won that game.

also the question of how many games it took, it only took me one. granted i expected to get er dun in 3 hours.

I got my 500MS game on my second try. Highlander IIC Keeper, 2 UAC10s, 4 SRM6s... 88 point pseudo-alpha. I also have a TAG taking up the last half ton, and that does contribute a bit to Match Score. I think I got a TAG kill and a few assists.
5 kills on top of Mining Collective, standing at an angle where the enemy had to advance into my team's fire to try to shoot me. I don't think I got to alpha anything more than twice thanks to all the fire my team was putting down.

Im pretty sure you didn't get 500 matchscore with that. However its funny that many missles got shot down

As a noob PUG, AMS has been one of the ways I've been padding my match stats. It's why on every variant that can run them I've been putting them in; only recently I've been weaning myself away from always using them since the extra ton or ton-and-a-half can be useful for extra armor, ammo, sinks, or such.

Can confirm that during regular matches, not events, I've gotten quite a few 500+ matches with an iron dome Purifier. Then when I try to duplicate that during events, suddenly people stop bringing missiles or vote for Solaris or Mining every time...

It does work, but I think it's probably more reliable to go for damage. Not even kills, just damage. I keep seeing people accomplish 500+ with AC-2 boats and the like, just spraying damage over everything, getting assists and KMDDs with no kills. Not great for the team, not great for wins, but it will complete these sort of events.

That's a rather situational trick . You need a bunch of enemy boats spamming Lurms on your buddies .

Nova really does make it an easy 500. I played two matches so far in this event, I was away for nearly two weeks, one 430 score, second over 530 score.
I just got over 500 score with 523 damage, few kills, components, assists and nearly 1000 missiles destroyed.
I used this build NOVA-S build (mine is an event Champion, just gets bonus exp)

Shooting down lots of missiles while being able to deal decent damage will net you the coveted 500 score really easy and fast.

Which is rarely a problem in QPugs.
