Today I wanted to dl the patch and was surprised when I couldnt find MWO in my library anymore. I went to the steam store page, pressed play and now steam is downloading 15gb of game files.
Was the "patch" supposed to work this way or is this some kind of file corruption?

Nope, it went off without a hitch for everyone I know on Steam that has MWO. You must just have gremlins. Posted Image

Did you check if you still had the original installation in the steam folder?

No but the steam download was at 4gb when it started.

Seems like a major file corruption :o

DL Patch? There's your problem. Steam updates automatically, if you applied the patch for the standalone client you might've corrupted the Steam verson. Not cross compatible these two.

Do you mean you downloaded the manual patch, which is meant for the non-steam version of the game? If so, then Steam is just doing its job - it detected you have the wrong files and is fixing it.

Yeah, this happened to me also; It's not just you Obiwayne. I'm trying to find the location of the files so I can try adding it to Steam again or run the repair tool.
