PGI tries to figure out why nobody plays faction play since several years.
I also was puzzeled why this is the case.Today i beeing in the queue once again
for about 2 minutes, when i exited it kinda annoyed from the waiting it all became clear
to me...
AND THE REASON IS (drums and snare)
BEEING FORCED TO LOOK AT SPINNING WHEEL THINGY
FOR UP TO 1 DECADE (who knows?)
Now my opinion is, and i have a feeling that is really true,
if you only had the option to do something while you wait in the queue
e.g. use the mechbay, browse the store and do all the other stuff you do when spending
countless hours of beeing kinda idle in MWO
PEOPLE WOUD ACTUALLY PLAY FP ! ! ! !
really! you cant expect that people are watching a black screen with searching tapped on it
for 2 hours per day! thats just a no-go!
It dont need a faction play roundtable to come to this conclusion imao!!!!!

Lets see....bugs.
Wait forever to get into a match.
Can't get into a game because the game boots you out when you try and play.
If you do get into a game, you get stuck in the dropship. Or should I say on the drop screen right after you die the first time and then you can't play. Developers seem to be more interested in nerfing weapons instead of fixing this problem. Gave up...simple and to the point.

It's a pretty legitimate problem when it's literally putting people to sleep waiting for a match, I was falling asleep even in the quick match wait times. Should be able to pick your mech to suit the map too, not the map to suit the mech, thats backwards.

you need a group of at least 6 pilots, then waiting times become shorter. The more pilots in your team, the shorter the waiting times.
I get instant drops every evening, rarely waiting more than few minutes.
Solo jumping into FP can take ages. For example i often pick up unknow players from LFG if i have to fill spots. and i know i am not alone doing this.
So its on you.

What he said...
There is a plethora of discord/TS/Vent hubs to find players to group up and drop with. If and when those are exhausted THEN solo yolo...
If you are not willing to do at least that little bit of leg work, how do you expect to even be able to perform at the proper level for Faction Warfare?
