For IS it's probably the black knight, battlemaster and hunchback.
For Clans it's a hellbringer, linebacker and supernova

hahaha no.

Urbie K9, Wolfhound 2. T-bolt.

Marauder IIC, Helby, Ebon Jag.

Oh hunchIIC is solid too, if a bit glassy

You forgot the Roughneck-3A. Very tanky MPL duelist.

EBJ and MAD-IIC are both great pulse boats.

For the IS, I'd say WLF-2 / WLF-GR. And maybe the UZL-6P, as it can do six MPL with decent quirks and JJs at the price of sub-par hitboxes.

I wanna stress that this is a very personal opinion, but I don't think I'd go heavier than that to add more MPLs on IS Mechs. I ran a 9 MPL WHM-6D for a bit just because I thought it was fun, but if I was kinda sorta objective, I'd say the three additional MPLs compared to the UZL-6P weren't really worth it. However, 6 MPL 3 ERSL might have been better in hindsight, retaining the short burn time as one of the IS MPLs biggest upsides. Dunno.

For Clans, I'd say HBK-IIC-A and the LBK (tankier, faster, but no JJs) for six MPLs and the EBJ for 9 MPLs. Dunno why, but I feel much more comfortable going heavier for additional MPLs on Clan Mechs. Can't really explain why.

I have a Hellbringer with ECM and 6 Medium Pulse Lasers, bunch of Double Heat Sinks and then still need to fully skill it, but it will allow for like minute or two straight without stop shooting before reaching heat warning.

Wolfhound (Grinner especially) and thunderbolt (topdog is especially nice) are solid laser mechs, crabs and grasshoppers do them pretty well too.

The soon to be released for cbills Vulcan has a model (VT-5M) with pulse heat and large pulse duration quirks interestingly enough.

I run a MAD-3R with a trio of large pulse, a trio of mgs and a TAG, seems to wreck face pretty well.

Why is the Black Knight being left out of this discussion? At IS MPL ranges, mounts don't matter because you're brawling. Nine IS pulse lasers will destroy sh*t very fast.

The 7 is also pretty darn quick and has a bunch of armor. The 6 has excellent twisties and good enough structure to stay redline.

Black Knight gets my vote. For the sheer volume of energy hardpoints plus available tonnage it far outstrips any other 'Mech mentioned thus far in this thread. It's the heaviest a Heavy can get before being classed as an Assault, and you can throw on a ridiculous number of single heat sinks for a very high heat capacity. However its hardpoint placement is its weak point: You are limited to side corner poking, and only with half of your energy hardpoints at once. With that said, if "pulse vomit" means MPL to you then MPL boating requires close range anyway.

It's hard for me to argue against the BL-7-KNT when it comes to MPL brawling. Assault mech armor, decent speed, spreads damage well, and runs cool.

There are so many ways to run the BL-7-KNT with pulse.

For clans, the Nova Cat is actually pretty good for it. 2xLPL, 5xMPL, Light active probe, TCMK1, then stuff it to the gills with DHS. Mobility isn't the greatest, so it's all about position - but the heat dissipation is AMAZING.

Wouldn't the BL-6B-KNT be better for pulse vomit than the BL-7-KNT because of its -10% energy heat quirk?
