The fact that you can't explain it easily proves how convoluted it is. Though with some polish, a video like this could be immensely beneficial to explain the game mechanics.

I think it's imminently more important to create a video for new players that simply screams "TRUST YOUR EYES! SHOOT NOT BLUE" 30 or 40 times in a row.

I for one give Kudos to Phil for putting something out there to attempt to help new players out. He's at least putting forth an effort to get and retain new players.
