Hey people,

Simple question here: Is there a way to have override permanently enabled? I don't think there is in-game, but is there a mod or something alike that can force override to always be on?

I'm kinda getting tired of shutting down in front of the enemy because I forgot to press "o" at the start of the game. Imho, not having override enabled is actually far more dangerous than having it enabled.

I'm the opposite. I usually remember to hit override as soon as the match starts but whenever I am close to overheating I reflexively press override again and end up shutting down in front of the opponent. :D

There prolly are ways to enable it by default.

But you can also just put override much closer to wsad. I have it on 3, right above my index finger and press it automatically without even thinking.

At the start of a match I always override, dim the cockpit lights, and unlock my arms. It's ritual.

You know you can unlock arms by default right? And how do you dim cockpit lights?

I just wish I could override without the bright flashing message at the top of the screen distracting me.

On most IS 'Mechs there is a dimmer switch located near the left of the pilot's controls. Clanners don't have a physical switch, since they're jacked into their neural helmets.

I usually don't use override. I know, I know, I'm not using the full potential of my mechs, but I like the challenge Posted Image .

The default is the period key. It actually helps a lot on night bog.

Yes, I do know that. I just like having a series of keys to press on startup, helps get the mojo flowin'.

The default key for cockpit lights is "." One press dims all the way, and after that there are like five levels of brightness starting at the highest level. It isn't readily apparent in some mechs/on some maps, but it cuts down the glare effect on the edges of the dash and monitors in most of the mechs I have.

I have cockpit lights off by default through the user.cfg

I dunno, I very rarely use override... Normally I am fine without... I used it for a while a bit ago, but kept blowing up. ;-) And these days, with the side torso loss heat spikes, I really do not want to blow myself up.

Too bad strike damage after death doesn't count as damage anymore (I mean your opponents still get damaged, but you're not credited with it)
