But in solo QP at least RAC2s are devastating because 8 out of 12 players can't twist properly to spread the damage and/or won't shoot back because they are scared of the DPS and cockpit blinding. You can easily put three RAC2 on a Bushwacker X1 with XL(!) engine and still duel/facetank almost everything the enemy throws at you as long as you avoid multiple enemies shooting you.
I mean you're not wrong, but the weapon is still inherently flawed. That doesn't mean it can't pull in great performances and be a lot of fun, but it does depend heavily on having the right opportunity... or bad enough opponents. I love my MAD-3R with 3 RAC2, 4 ML, but I probably wouldn't go out and tell someone that it's meta.
