I just returned to the game and being a previous Clan guy but my favorite mech is coming to IS soon. The Marauder II...however I started into Faction Play and I noticed what appeared to be Clan getting pushed all the way back out of the Inner Sphere.

So I am going to stick with Clan. I am going to get 4 Various Hero mechs for a Drop deck.

What is good these days that would contribute well even for a rusty player?

Different setups are good for different maps and modes in FP, you can try to build a single generalist deck, but you'll find yourself at a disadvantage against players with specialized decks. Try to stick with gauss rifles, ERLL/LPL/ERML lasers and UACs, they're not the most optimal in all environments, but are kind of ok everywhere

Your map reading skills are highly suspect. Notice the rump state of the FRR and the Jaguars on the doorstep of Luthien. How exactly are the Clans pushed out of the I.S.?

Yeah, those sound pretty tasty... sick load outs available on the Vapor Eagle and the WHM IICs look like they are going to be amazing. SRM spam on the ACW is fantastic and it's actually a tough little mech.

I been away awhile so very well they may...when I left the map was almost 50/50 split. Right now it appears the entire inner sphere is 85% owned by IS. Am I reading it totally wrong?

Going to look into getting a few Hero's you guys suggested.

I dug thru my Mechs last night which mostly consist of Assaults and a few Heavies...

Current Mechs

Lights: Kit Fix prime, Myst Lynx C & G
Medium: Ice Ferret C, Nova Prime, and Nova SC
Heavy: HellBringer FL, Mad Dog A, Linebacker C, Timber Wolf A
Assaults: Highlander 2cc, Marauder 2c and 2ca, madcat 2a, Kodiak 3, and Warhawk Prime

Oddly I do the best in the old Warhawk..

Sounds like I need to dust off the Madcat...I just hate its looks and prefer Marauder look.

Of those what would you guys run until I get some more meta mechs?
