Who asked for this thing? this is two mechs in a row that nobody say maybe 3 or 4 people really want.

I did. I guess you haven't looked at any of the existing polls out there where it was the most requested clan heavy mech.

Voting a bunch of times on an online poll that doesn't keep track if you voted previously doesn't count as a bunch of people wanting it.

PGI hasn't done a Clan battlemech original yet. If we post enough about it, it can happen. Let's go, guys!

It has something over 500 votes on Gas Guzzler's poll, and was the top rated voted mech on Jay Leon Hart's in both clan heavy and the IIC categories. No sense in arguing with a troll when all of those polls could only allow you to vote once of any mech type.

People only look at the picture of the mech. They dont reading the lore or anything. Funny thing is tho, its one of those rare times IS will be faster than Clan.

Again Online polls are notoriously inaccurate due to not keeping track of how many times a vote is cast. People have vote bots just to make it seem that what they want, everyone wants as well. Good job on padding the votes on those sites.

You're really trying hard to win an argument based on an assumption.

Apparently from Gas Guzzler's poll, 895 people wanted the Rifleman IIC:

From what I've seen from Gas's poll, the most popular demanded mechs are mostly of Clan Origin. And that has to do with one thing, nostalgia. As the polls show, nostalgia sells. Any mech that people have a connection to, whether it be the computer games or tabletop, then that is what we will lean to the most.

Judging from the poll of the most popular clan mechs, most people voted for these mechs based on their roles in the Mechwarrior 2 games.
Fire Moth - 804 votes
Stone Rhino - 732 votes
Grizzly - 446 votes

Also, is it really necessary to make an ad-hominem thread just to attack people who wanted it? I mean, it's already here so what's done is done.

Sounds like you're mad because it's not the Mech you and two other guys wanted.

Seems you live under a rock. Rifleman-IIC is a highly popular mech--people had played it since MW2 launched in 1995. Even before that it was a popular chassis to use in tabletop, with its quad CLPL cheese build.

You realise that the polls in question are on this forum and as such, require an account to vote? So votes are, in fact, tracked and you can't, in fact, vote more than once per account.

While I would have preferred the Glass Spider over the Rifleman IIC, I'm glad one of them made it into the game as the Rifleman is one of my favourite Heavy 'mechs to play. Whether the Rifleman IIC can hold a torch to the original remains to be seen.

I may have missed a few polls, but;
NEXT MECH PACK POLL! (Gas Guzzler) (RFL-IIC removed) It was the most popular clan Heavy, look for a vote tally from myself or Will9761
WANTED HEAVY MECHS (COMPLETE LIST) (Myke Pantera) 68 votes / 17.39%
MECHS FOR 2017 (CK16) 306 votes / 8.78%
MISSING 'MECHS - UNSEEN, CLASSIC & IIC (Jay Leon Hart) (RFL-IIC removed)

I'd totally pre-order a Squidward 'Mech.

In classic Clanner style:

IS Technician: "I bet we can design the slowest, ugliest and strangest 'Mech in the game!"
*IS Technician Builds The Urbanmech*
Clan Cloud Cobra: "Hold our synthetic beers, freebirth."

Almost.

It's "Hold our Fussionaires."

I mean I'm not that crazy about it but your argument doesn't have a leg to stand on. It was the next most popular Clan heavy so it makes perfect sense to me.

Does it have high mounts, high agility and can mount LBX40?
If yes I buy it!
