Greetings MechWarriors!

The next Ask-Me-Anyhing Sessions has been scheduled for next week!
Topic: MW5 AI

When: Wednesday, February the 20th

There will be 2 sessions to best accommodate for the different time-zones:

10AM PST // 6PM UTC

6PM PST // 2AM UTC

How it will work (On the MW5 Discord server):

On the day at the scheduled time above, Russ and Devs will be conducting an MW5:M AI AMA session responding to questions asked by the community in the #ama_questions text channel while they are in the AMA Sessions Voice Channel.

To attend and listen to their answers, you will be able to join the AMA Sessions Voice Channel, while having access to type in the #ama_quesitons text channel to send your question directly to them. They will then go question by question posted in the said text channel and respond by voice, just like a live podcast!

I'm going to have to redeem that discord code from MW5 and ask...

Will PGI hire a marketing team to come up with a far superior video to sell MW5 nearer release, because the last video looks bad compared to all other "mech"-like game videos coming out this year +/- that I've been able to find.

IF you can ask about the weapons will there be weapons like in mw4 like thunderbolt arrow 6 missiles, railguns, plasma lasers . inferno rockets, long tom and others. Thanks.

Did they hire any competent devs for the AI? If devs that coded the VIP mech for escort mode are the same...yikes!

And weapons like IS assault laser, IS X pulse lasers, Clan link capacitor LPPC, rotary AC20, and heavy version of the Clan gauss rifle.

Uhm,,, when you or if you do ask about those advanced weapons, remember the year is 3015 in MW5. I believe I could probably already give you the answer but we'll see.

Hi, thanks for you support, can you ask a confirmation for a full Mod support in the final release? It would be nice to see some Rogue Tech scenario for MW5 too if possible.

Just makes me smile - you only get chance to be ignore . . I mean ask questions, if you are willing to take yet another highly risky leap of faith in paying out money for a game still deeply in production. Wouldn't it really make sense to air this in the open, invite a far bigger input from the existing community and give people a little more confidence in parting with their hard earned cash?

All I see are the same mistakes being made all over again from MWO's inception. Guess some lessons are never learned?!

The reason I never joined the discord is the early AMA happens when I'm at work.
The later AMA is when I'm heading home or just getting home and its over.
But if I can actually make it on in time then I'll gladly ask that too.

True - Actually I'm in the same boat.

Most people working on PST: At 10AM and 6PM are at work or heading home.

So the timing does not work for us. And I understand - it makes it harder for PGI as it is their working day too.
And I applaud the effort in engaging the community on a game that is released this way.

But maybe PGI could consider pushing the 6PM slot slightly later.... 6:30PM - if it brings more input from the PST crowd.

Oh - And I second the marketing. Better = more people, (Easier/nicer to share on social media and get more friends playing)

On a more serious note, I can't tune in due to timezones but I watch NGNG's recap on youtube. Nothing much to say or ask, I just hope for this upcoming AI AMA, that we have competent AI, and not have the games of old where poor AI is hidden behind unfair odds. But even if not it's ok. As long as my AI lance's AI is not braindead, I don't expect them to be at the levels of co-op AI we see in amazing games like Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite or God of War 2018.

I don't know if this has been asked before since I don't follow the forums closely (although I did do a quick look for it), but I heard a rumor that MW5 will be able to use VR goggles? If so, which ones will work, and which is recommended? (Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, Other)?
