I like smack talk.... its part of the game. But to do it effectively you have to be able to back it up.


So I ask the community..... Did the Smack talker back it up?

That was a fairly uncommon ocurrance, actually. Normally these people get double digit damage.

Smack talker is a coward, he only opened his mouth after his team won. Trash talk should be done before the fighting starts.

If you want an opinion, then you did okay, but not really impressive. Seems like you were often shooting legs with your torso weapons while your arms were aimed higher so the damage wasn't focused on a single component, and the kills weren't as quick as they could've been. You haven't finished many damaged mechs as lights usually do. It's 1000k damage, but 2 kill / 2 kmdds, not the best ratio. But I don't pretend to know how to flea myself.

I was in that match!

I laughed out loud when I saw your score. In fact, even before I saw your score I questioned the thought process of trash-talking a Flea. You're piloting one of the lightest, most fragile mechs in the game in which even a stray shot not aimed at you would end your match regardless of pilot skill... and that is the mech targeted for a trash-talking?

Regardless, you sure put me to shame; I was in the LRM Pretty Baby lighting up everyone's AMS. They had a lot of it and I was not very useful.

I get this a lot, too.
Its good to have some people in the circle doing cover-shooting. But the entire team doesn't give much advantage, neither does expecting the lights and smaller mediums to do it.

Can't stand domination either. It forces light mechs to have to fight in a pre defined area if they are the last couple of mechs last. Very hard to play to your strength if the enemy knows where you are at.

That is also a point of the video. The Mad Cat II that I soloed did not even touch me... he was a potatoe. The Blood asp on the other hand was piloted by a competent assault pilot who knew how to fight a light mech. He limited me correctly in the ability to take aim where I needed to. Had we been in the middle I would have left. However since he was mostly alone I stayed. But he knew what he was doing,

Which leads to another fact, the amount of armor a light has to chew through to take down an assault is monumental.

Lights x 10 their weight

Mediums x 8 their weight

Heavies x 7.2 their weight

Assaults x 7.0 their weight

There are a lot of people in this game who are A) probably not very smart controlled by their emotions, especially when they lose.

To be fair, I think we've all lost a Domination match or two because no lights went center and the maps so huge it takes more than a minute for the heavies to get there. And there's always that sense of dread until someone touches the middle.

To be fair, I have not.

And even if I had I still wouldn't run my squishmech into the kill circle. I don't have time to sit around, if I want a good score I have to find something to do damage on that isn't going to lead to me getting gacked.

I have a hard time believing you've never seen this. I don't know of anyone who's played this game for any significant period and never gotten absolutely screwed on one of the bigger Domination maps.

And I'm not even saying you should make a beeline for center every or any time. But I just really have a hard time believing you've never seen or heard of that happening. If true, I envy you.

It certainly must be the rarest of all objective wins/losses. Already a really rare scenario.
