Maybe it has been asked already,

but with each of the Corsair mechs having different combos of arms, (right, left, both, none), I was wondering if we could remove the lower actuators (or add them) for symmetry?

long shot, but it would be cool since IIRC this is the first mech with such geometry.

It's not an Omnimech so you cannot remove or add actuators at your whim.

As to whether or not the whole arm geo changes between variants (i.e. some variants with two low arms, some with two high, left high right low, left low right high, etc.) has yet to be seen. I hope that's the case.

It would be interesting to give limited omni features to the More modular Mechs. Would probably need a rebuild to make it work sry this point though (ac2 ghost heat linked to lower arm actuators XD)

Well it is a first Frankenmech so I don't see why they wouldn't experiment with it a bit. I hope they do.

i like varients with a lot of physical variation. like the cat-k2. id love to see more of that. like where every corsair is a different mashup.

Saw in the art stream that this is the case.

Wish actuators ACTUALLY did something so we didn't have this cry thread once a week

They do...they determine arm pitch/rotation. Without lower actuators, your arms don't move side to side. Although Omnimechs get a exploit coded in by PGI... even if only one arm has lower arm actuators, both arms will move side to side, which isn't the case with battlemechs with only one arm having a lower actuator. Take the centurion for example...the Yen Low has no lower actuator in its right arm, but has it and a hand in the left side. It cannot track the AC/20 sideways away from the torso twist limit. Meanwhile a huntsman with an AC/20 in one arm...can... by using lower actuators in the other arm.

While that's an excellent point for those of us who DO turn arm lock on/off.
Most just see the min/max proposition of MOAR slots.
I have and others have propose more elegant solutions such as:
Hand actuators allow you to even "grab" battery on excursion (I mean incursion mode)
Hand actuators allow you DEBUFF the transmit time of enemy NARC (I'd love this)
Hand actuators allow you to receive a buff to hill climb
Grappling? (never happen)
