I For one, am big fan of the faction game play the size of the maps the way you have to play each map. Even the ability to drop mech after mech.

This idea runs long those lines but might ramp it up just a wee bit. WOT, brought back their frontline game mode with allows a massive 30x30 beat down between two teams, on a massive map with spans nearly what is the equivalent of 13 of their maps pushed in to one.

What my idea here is perhaps another way to use our drop decks outside of faction game play in an environment such as this. This could be another Que for people to join and play in with ANY of their mechs not just faction specific mechs.

Mind you i think a 30x30 beat down in mechs may... get alittle hetic, but the idea of large combat zones with span huge areas with would allow for more tactics and fun. Given how large the maps of MWO are already, i think limiting say something to the equivlent of 5-6 maps in size might be a better and safer number to work with, Complete with repair and rearming stations with we can use to repair mechs in the field at the negitive of being a sitting duck if we didnt lock down the area.

I'd rather they just made procedural generated maps. It can be done with tile sets or spawn logic so that a % of each map has so many X could be water ,road, high ground, low ground, forest. That way you can keep trickle feeding new items into the Biomes advancing the maps incrementally whilst having infinite maps to play on.
The same maps play the same way and offer nothing new. Playing Canyon Network is the same experience as 2 years ago. Rotate'o potato on a central feature every game. Imagine exploring a completely new map every match, more rivers, forests, what ever....

I will agree with you on that, seeing some kind of procedural generated maps might be a nice thing to see if we ever get a mode like this, or perhaps a ground warfare mode, The maps as they stand, everyone knows the chock points, the good positions to take. THe problem is, its Get to point A, shoot at point B. and hope the rest of your team is watching the flanks to keep lights off your ***. There is no skill or getting better in this game. Thus why im offering up an idea like this, Been with the game since it was just a thought in someguy's head.

Large maps sound like fun on paper, but then you quickly realise it's just a walking simulator. Polar highlands greets you.

I will agree with you there, thus seeing some combined arms, such as helicopters, or tanks. things like this inbetween the fights might not be a bad idea.
