No names in this thread please.

In other deleted threads, a video was shown where one team searched for the other team around the map, checking all the spawns, through the middle and around the edges of the map, lasting for the full duration of the match.

This video was submitted to PGI, and the question posed: Is the tactic valid or against CoC? The response was:

Quote

Initiating the search for a match should be seen as an unspoken commitment to play from all players who are placed into the same match as outlined in our Code of Conduct https://mwomercs.com/conduct

In the future, just record and submit such matches to PGI, and they will moderate these actions as non-participation.

Thank you for reading

In other words....when you press search the idiom “you pays your money and you take your chances” applies. Which is how it should be.

I was wondering, the thread was deleted due to coc violation, will anything be done to the team that clearly broke the coc by avoiding contact with enemy (my bet is on nothing)

I'd like to know has there ever been any action taken against people for non participation

Oh look, a dead horse.

And people who refused to scout, and are mad about it.

The reply said action is based on the number of incidences. If it's the first strike for the person, likely just a warning, and then escalates from there. They will not share what action is taken though.

We looked for you, and couldn't find you. This toxicity is damaging the community right now and you really should stop. This is a great game but it can't afford to have people chased off by saltiness. GLHF on the battlefield, my dude.

Correction. A video was shown where both teams involved failed to do what was required of them to locate their enemy on a large map with many, many broken lines of sight.

Both teams involved need to learn that if you want to find the enemy, you can't always do it by deathballing around the outskirts of the map in a concentrated 70kph blob without sending out any scouts whatsoever.

Have you actually ever heard of any action taken against players/teams for non participation? I'm genuinely curious, I've seen players get banned for team damage, things said in chat, etc. But I've never seen or heard of any action whatsoever taken for non part, despite countless reports submitted

Praise be the moderators, should we have a chance to gallivant in the great jungles of Kaetetôã in this thread's future, rather than the complete nuclear obliteration of related threads' passed. Posted Image

I don't think people realized that PGI will moderate entire teams. It doesn't really have the opportunity to occur in QP after all. Now that they know, videos will be submitted and we will see actions taken.

Although Clan Assaults are objectively faster than IS ones by a fair margin. So after 25mins of ring around the rosie, one would have seen the other if they are all in the same weight class. Now if one side is in a bunch of Meds (which is standard playbook for them) and just one has stealth / ECM or otherwise. It is easily possible to avoid a fight all together.

And to be fair here. I'd believe what you say has a possibility to happen. Albeit very rare so I'd agree with you to a point...

However - And this is the key point - The unit in question has done this before, on the same map. Literally running away for 25mins in Med mechs as some kind of "protest". Seen it myself and it's just Posted Image

I can't find the old thread on Zillow. I wanted to show my girlfriend the beach front property available there.

Also props to both sides for putting up some interesting stuff in the forums, but I require some lore references and memes. Make this happen.

Exactly, this has happen quite a number of times with us and this unit, we never knew PGI is willing to act in such cases. The whole point of this discussion was to confirm with them they will act.

With this thread, the community knows. In the future, videos will be submitted and bans handed out. With all the posts here, people will not be able to feign ignorance Posted Image

Oh mind you, I'm not about to defend either side here, I have no stake in the matter, just a spoon in the pot. Posted Image

While certainly, video evidence exists to confirm the actions of one team, and leaves the other's in question... the same video also opens the doors to criticism - what could have been done better. And it's my opinion that any team worth their salt should be able to use their 12 mechs to locate an enemy team in under 30 minutes, regardless of what mechs are taken and what the teams' movements are.

Any team who ends a thirty minute match with literally zero damage done, raises into question their own competency, just sayin'.
