Glowing Eyes Bolt On- A Mistake

They want 1000mc, for a feature they removed from the game, and are now selling back TO me for my atlas.
Why is no one calling BS on this? My atlas HAD glowing eyes back in the day, and then they took that away from me, now they're trying to sell it back to me, for 1000 mc, there's very little that bothers me with this game, but I mean, this one's honestly making me twitchy, simply because it's a clear nostalgia bait tactic.
Come on PGI, you know this isn't cool to some of us who've been playing your game since 2012/2013...
Yes, I'm well aware of this being a low tier complaint, and that there are much bigger fish to fry, but in a world where publishes are trying increasingly scummy ways to make money, the fact that this WAS a feature before, was taken away, and is now being resold to us, should give us all pause.

All Atlas's should have gotten an automatic bolt-on for red glowing eyes, like how the K-9 has it's lightbar as a bolt-on. Then they could have sold the different colors, which people would buy to be different.

FAIR WARNING!
Putting glowing red eyes on your Mech in reality is putting a big red glowing targeting point on your cockpit. The Atlas red eyes were removed for a reason... it made it criminally easy to snipe cockpits, even from distance.
Save your Mech Credits.

Oh I'm well aware, that being said, I'm fine with that, go ahead, snipe my cockpit, it's more a matter of a feature that was in game, and was just removed, is being resold to us instead of simply returned to us... just make it a toggle, that I can turn on or off, simple as that... the fact it's a bolton, and was basically STOLEN from me to begin with, is frustrating... I don't care how practical it is, I want my glowing red eyes.

That's why they should put it on a toggle. That way you can leave it off while advancing, but turn it on when you pop out into a brawl where the light wont really matter, but will strike fear into your enemies.
Kind of like how the K-9's light and siren are off most of the time, and only turned on to pull over and give traffic citations to friendly assaults.

I call BS m, it was BS then its BS now.
No ******* weapon combination is able to make a killshot at a range when you only see the eyes.
When you can shoot at glowing eyes you can do the same without glow.
Played Atlas for most of my active time (most of it in closed beta) while I killed several Atlas by headshot (standing still, blocked, staring) the same faith did never happen myself.
Other mechs sure but the Atlas proud menacing not a single time.

People will still put red eyes all over their mechs, even remove head armour and then complain very vocally why they constantly getting head-shot... it's always the same.

P.S. It's kind of funny their announcement post even used an old image from when it was standard equipment.

Either your math skills or memory are failing you, Karl. Don't forget that when the glowing red eyes were removed, it was at a time before ghost heat limitations and/or structural/armour buffs. Things were vastly different then, when it took 33 damage to snipe a cockpit. A dual PPC + Gauss Rifle combo would produce 35 damage. Two Gauss Rifles + PPC would produce 40.
Just sayin'.

they can charge for glowing eyes on other mechs, thats perfectly fine. but removing the glowing eyes on the founders atlas that used to be free and charging for them is wrong.
also the Atlas needs a buff because its !@#$ing terrible. PGI rewards boated loadouts so damn much with the skill tree and quirks that mixed loadout assaults like the Atlas just arnt able to keep up
