I see you’re in tier 2 (like me), so It’s likely you’re just hitting more T1 games, and no longer getting into any games with T4/T5s.

In my experience, I usually have higher KDA with poke playstyle. However I'm more in tuned and have better satisfaction over-all with brawling "in-the-face" playstyle, which greatly made my KDA inconsistent.

You are playing since 2012 and still are tier 2?

Every potato can hit tier 1 in a few weeks, that's why matchmaking getting worse and worse.
Some of you should rethink their playstyles.

My suggestion would be dont play a Dire Wolf.
Its really hard to play and left behind almost always when the nascar starts.
Play something like a Hellbringer with ECM and laser vomit.
ECM protects you from the rain, it's quite fast, has good hit boxes and so on.
Also try to mind the following simple rules:
- Make surviving your primary goal. The longer you survive the more often you have the chance to do damage.
- Dont be greedy and peek around a corner if you to kill a badly damaged mech when there is also half the enemy team waiting
- Always have somebody in front of you. That guy will get focused when you walk around the corner with him and you can get away it you notice it was a bad idea.
- Always stay with the team, never do solo actions, not even when you have ECM.
- Try to play mechs with high alphas (e.g. hellbringer) that you have to reduce your face time as much as possible.
- Don't play staring weapons like lock on weapons and RACs.
- Learn to torso twist. It will double your play time when you know how to roll damage.

What were your other names? May be able to find a trend that could explain the problem.
All I can really say at this point is that I seriously doubt the issue is "everyone else is getting better."

Don't hold your breath on that.

- My former pilot name were Karbon, karcajou. The jarl’s list only goes back to 2016, Keep in mind that I srtarted in 2012.
- Indeed, being in tier2 may result in facing more experienced and skilled players.
- The former skill system favored ppl like me who owed 3 Variants or more.
- Finally, although not in any stats lists, the lights are way much more powerful that when I started, now when I get killed, it is by a light; (75%) of the time

My assessment is that you're just on the wrong peak in your jagged history, and that you should probably shift away from your overwhelming assault usage and pilot something a bit lighter and faster that'll let you more easily deal with the current quickplay meta of spastic positioning and swing wide NASCAR.

Great advice ... terribly boring playstyle and really not fun, unless winning is everything.
