Hi guys, I am looking forward to the March Patch. I am waiting for the Hero Corsair Mech.

Anyone know what Balance changes are going to happen?

Ive built 4 mechs with double AMS that can still hopefully put up a competitive fight. If 2 AMS isn't enough to stop the constant *INCOMING MISSILES* barrage of ATM poptarts and LRM taters, this may be it for me. so sick of the constant balance shifts, this is turning into a job.

It won't be enough. It also shouldn't be enough. Having 2-3 tons of AMS to get an invincibility shield against missiles is obviously a really stupid attempt to balance it out. Where is the 5 ton invincibility shield against ACs and lasers.
Especially ATM "poptarts" play very dynamic and proactive, sometimes a lot more active then the classic laser/AC vomit mechs.

The Huntsman Pakhet hero can use dual AMS and have tonnage to spare for weapons. It does a fine job as a charlie lance escort. But to answer the OP's topic, I've moved on to other games and might play this one a few times a month. Increased LRM players that won't get locks for themselves and throw matches against teams that are willing to be aggressive aren't really an incentive for me to jump back into the game. GG, PGI.

I'll mess around with the free Corsair hero when it drops. I'm hoping it has an agility profile and armor quirks that rival the king crab due to its extra large target profile. If not, no big deal. Mechwarrior 5 and all the modding goodness is what will save Mechwarrior for me.

Meh don't really care, I have mechs set up to counter it if it gets really bad. Got jumpsnipe hppc. Dual ams and ecm mechs. Not worried at all. Radar derp will be your friend here, might need more than 60%.

Might need something like this:

NVA-IRON DOME

Comes with 30% AMS RoF right out of the box which you can further stack with AMS overload from the survival tree. That's really the best missile shield you can get right now (KFX can't pack much firepower with AMS boating and it doesn't get all the RoF quirks).

Honestly i'm feeling pretty good. Why? I just got a call half an hour ago for a new job interview next week. I have a bad habit of getting all giddy before I even got the job but just the idea of being able to earn money again is exciting.

How does this relate, you say?

Well i'll be able to have money I need for when these bloody ungrateful sods for developers release the Stinger.

As long as they nerf indirect fire into the ground. I will be happy. If you stand in the open and get hit by fast low arc direct fire lrms that's your fault.

Well fk me up fam sorry for trying to play the game. You should elaborate on that statement because that current version makes PGI's nonskilled-weapon system buffs seem relatively free of sin in comparison.

by the time we're done with this kind of combat, all we'll have left is to paint our care bear Kodiaks brown and then we'll finally all look like the pedobear peeking around cover.

Ladies and Gentlemen, coming soon to theaters of war near you on LRM patch day...I present: The pedobear meta.

That's not going to be enough if I am reading some people right.

To what? groupqueue? With how many? 12? good luck starting of against a team with 50 tons of weapondry missing.
Or to faction? Good luck there too, 24 AMS will not stop lrm600 volleys.

Whats the difference from standing in the open getting hit by direct fire lrms or getting hit by 3x rac2? Not much. Atleast it will be better than some atm poptart.

All i want is to be able to 1v1 someone without some lrm100 boat 1000m away screwing up my fun

4-6 of us with double ams i think it'll disrupt LRMs in group Q. It'll significantly disrupt the ATM meta though.
