Just seen Captain Marvel and

...well the movie I felt stunk. Acting was off. The humor was meh. I was in a packed theater as well so it clearly wasn't just me that didn't laugh.

Had a bit of SJW nonsense here and there, but with that aside, the movie I don't think was that good and here's why;

If you followed the comics and paid attention about the details on Skrulls when they copy a host, which happens all the time in this movie, they kill the host. This is something that is ignored in this movie to disgusting ends. This movie ignores this simple notion of the Skrulls killing the host they copy. So that is a major 'WTF' in my eyes especially when Skrulls know things they can only know if they killed the host they are copying to be a genetic copy of their host right down to memories. BIG MISTAKE AND PLOT HOLE!

-How Fury lost his eye..could have been done better. The build up since the first Iron Man movie is the length of time they had to make something up that could have been epic. Instead they go with stupid playful bs. Ridiculous. Million awesome ways it could have happened. Sh*tty payoff!
-They paid homage to Stan Lee at the beginning which is really nice, instead of the usual intro. Nice touch.
-The Skrulls not killing their host is just a rip off! The movie should have been this generations Terminator 2 which is what I was expecting, which is why I went in the first place..to have a Linda Hamilton/MCU/Terminator 2 kinda movie! That's what I was seriously expecting because you have the whole 90s vibe, T-1000-like characters...instead it was meh
-Blowing the head off of an Arnold cut-out of True Lies a half hour in was dumb because everyone and their dog knows Arnold cut-outs were big with him on the motor cycle and the shotgun in the air from T2..would've made more sense because he's holding a weapon! Another cut-out could've been Stallone or Snipes from Demolition Man with them standing back-to-back which I remember was popular. But no.
-The scene with her father screaming at her..like wtf?! Pointless! Why on Earth is that even in the movie?? They could've put ANYTHING
-That GI-Jane sh*t with the ropes. I was thinking 'What's next? Her shaving her head?'.
-There's more sh*t I didn't like, like the tesseract and it not burning through a Fonzie lunchbox but it can burn through a plane..that's a big middle finger to consistency...a modern version of jumping the shark I suppose ??. Also Fonzie lunchboxes were re-released and re-popularized in late Christmas '98, the same year as Furbies.
-Also the point at which I almost walked out is definitely when they were on that planet and the Kree girl was looking through the scope and the Skrull that copied their friend walks up and the Kree girl sees their friend in the scope. That friend in the scope that was copied should have been dead for that Skrull to have it's memories.
-People shooting point blank at a plane/spaceship in the end and nothing happens ??...yeah that's just plain dumb
-Final villain fight was not eventful

There's more I appreciated and hated. Watch the movie for yourself and add to the list if you like. No movie is perfect, but since this is such a pivotal movie in the franchise I thought it should be commented on.

I will say, as far as I knew Skrulls do not HAVE to kill the person they are copying. They can look at someone and produce a copy in physical appearance of what they see.

Rest, don't know about. Never really got into Skrulls all that much with the comics I read.

MCU creates its' own historical canon just like it did with

fury's eye. So Skrulls and the details about them didn't sit well during the movie and got over it, but after the movie Fury's eye is a never ending issue. That's why I put it at the top of my list. In the comics Fury's eye was NEVER talked about in detail until now and its' played off as a joke. What's even more ridiculous is that there is only one reference and now it's from this movie. Personally I couldn't care about any of the other problems with the movie. My main gripe is the first point I placed at the top of my list...Fury's eye. It was always a mystery and it got played off as a joke. I remember my friends and myself as kids being always curious about why he wears an eye patch...such a slap in the face to all the fans, the person who drew the character, and even the character itself. Like wtf.
