Light active probes seem to give the same increase to sensor range as normal active probes do. I'm basing this on the sensor range statistic provided under mech stats.

Sensor equipment doesn't show its changes in the mech lab under mech stats. Those are mech quirks and skill nodes you are seeing.

That may be true in the past, but in this new patch I noticed that sensor range in meters is actually displayed as a stat under engine specification.
Just to be sure, I tried equipping a light probe/regular probe on my unskilled HBR-Prime and they both are giving a 25 percent bonus to the base sensor range. The HBR -Prime also does not have any sensor quirks that I am aware of.

Can confirm this. The mechlab shows my Direwolf sensor range increasing by the same amount when I equip Light Active Probe or Clan Active Probe. Haven't tested in game to determine if this is just a display error in mechlab UI or if the 25% sensor range bonus is actually being provided by both types of active probe.
Look under engine size, next to heat sink count, you will see a stat called Sensor Range. The base amount on my Direwolf is 800m. I get +56m (+7%) from a sensor range skill node and +200m (+25%) from either the clan active probe or light active probe. The light active probe should only give +120m (+15%).

Thanks for the screen shots. I haven't figured out how to manage that yet.
