Is it me or does this thing's CT melt like butter. Every death so far has been a cored out CT.

Not just you. I’m keeping the XL engine because of it.

For me it's nearly always Right Torso then CT.
I've lost my LA and been CT'd more times than I've lost my LT.
Only once have I became a stick.
Running a STD engine.

Do you shield or anything ? I thought it has the Marauder syndrome... Plus big RT.

It's asymmetrical. What side is a good twist off changes between variants.
Conversely it's a tougher mech to get use to where to shoot.

Yap, Corsair has absolutely massive CT and RT, it would need a +20 armor quirk on those two to make the mech reasonably survivable.

Yes I have found it to be a bullet magnet, the offset cockpit makes it difficult to judge if you are properly in cover, and the CT seems easy to shoot from the sides. I've had several games end on orange or red CT and still armoured side torsos. My experience is specifically with the Broadside, whose arms appear to redirect all attacks to another component. Literally never seen my arms lose structure let alone fall off.

Hmmmm... Maybe strip arms... This is definitely an oddball, just doesn't feel like it could match a stock banshee. Barely enough ammo even by TT for the gauss stock. Maybe a hppc/hgr combo? Empty the Arms and throw in whatever fits?

You underestimate the firepower this thing can fit. It's only problem are the hitboxes and lack of powerful armor quirks for the two oversized body parts, CT and RT.

RT then CT is all of my deaths thusfar, its RT is huge (which is not exactly that bad if you run a left sided build, very bad otherwise), but its CT isnt the best either so a good player will just CT you by aiming a teeny bit to the right off dead center consistently.
Still, ive been suprised at the fact that this mech is not that terrible (i only have hero one) when you load it up with 2 uac10 and a MRM40 (albeit many heavys can do similar loadouts with a bit less MRM tubes). Its still not a competitive mech imo, but its ages better then the paperhammer we got a month ago which truly is the defenition of garbage with 0 structure quirks and pathetic agility profile.
Unlike the paperhammer hero, i think i ight actually get this thing 100% skilled and then ill see what it can do afterwards.

How I run mine:
BROADSIDE - BOOTY-TIME
The trick is to keep firing and not give the enemy time to cooldown. Don't like the LAMS? Switch to AMS, drop some sinks and bring more ammo!

ive found the right torso does tend to take a bit more damage if you dont move much. that said im surprised at just how well it rolls damage if you keep moving/twisting. ive been running LFE or STD in mine.
Ive managed to lose all armor across at least 3 different sections before i go down (most of the time anyway).
A touch more armor on the right torso could be good but it doesnt strictly need it.
