All, I noticed that the IS ER PPC HSL +1 quirk applies to 2 ERPPC + 1 Gauss build on the Bounty Hunter 2 (IE you can fire 2 ER PPCs and a Gauss rifle with no heat scale, this is the same situation on the NSR-9J, where you can fire 2 Gauss Rifles and an ER PPC and get no heat scale). I then attempted to run the same thing but with Heavy Gauss on the BH2, and I got ghost heat. I'm assuming this is NOT intended, but it even says I will get a heat penalty in the mechlab, but not with a regular Gauss.
