I remember when i started playing the board game in late 80's early 90's that it was a blast and had a pretty good following in my area. Once MW2 came out though, i had a feeling it would be even bigger than the board game cause now it got video gamers involved. I am just glad that the community is so good and that we all get to play again.

I actually started off late in it's history when I received a a combo pack of Mechwarrior4: Vengeance +Black Knight and Mechcommander 2. I eventually got MW4: Mercs too, but even from the first time I played I knew that giant robots shooting at each other would never be out of style.

i thnk it´s hard to tell if a game will life long with a big community or die young with no one to remember it.
Who would have thought that WH40K would make it that long? or Magic? or (sorry for being so gross) Pokemon?

I was hooked on battletech before they made the video games...I still got my battletech lead figures..lol...And still got all the old novels...Which i still read time to time....I still call it battletech from time to time even know most know it as mech warrior now....First game i played was on the mactintosh se...But wasnt a simulator.....First sim version i played was mech warrior 1 and battletech<~~ battletech was a online game you could only play on american online games...Its was very neat for its time..Cause you was playing against real people for the first time in battletech history...Grafics wasnt half bad either for the time....And it was the first video game i heard vox work!! Was amazing too hear people talking threw their mechs for the first time......Then aol lost there arse and most of there games to gamestorm which was sold to ea games{the destroyer of online games!!} they ruined motor city online too....which closed them all down so they could sell there own titles.....mech warrior 2 come out...Liked the grafics...But was abit dissapointed to see alot of the mechs didnt come over too the new game...battlemaster...rifleman 2...hatchet man.....many otheres too...played every version up too the last one for pc.that microsoft messed with a bit...liked the grafics...But i kinda liked mech warrior 3 better.....I even played the xbox version<~~ has to be the worst version i ever played...The lrm's was a joke...i was like 2 missles out of a lrm 20? wth!!! Anyways im glad to see mech warrior tring to make another run.... wooooooot...Been watching the teasers for the last few years now...And was hoping they didnt get shut down cause of legal issues...like robotech throwing a fit every time they use a mech..lol....A long time fan...And long time gamer...I cant wait:)
