One great use for those useless cockpit monitors would to be keep a running tally of your current damage throughout a match.. please consider implementing this :)

Yes i'd love this i want to see what the real damage is i'm doing with weapons because the display doesn't show damage per shot or damage per second.

Agreed, I would love to see any use for these. A rear view camera, A damage indicator, a video of angry clan man who shouts at you during every game ANYTHING.

All PGI need to do is create a local link from our game client to YouTube, so we can stream cat videos.
