The new game mechanics, when combined are not at all fair when it comes to a new player, or a fresh Mech. Lets say you have a new Hellspawn and equip it with an LRM 20. You find yourself in a match and are facing off against an ECM Atlas (1 AMS) and a Nova (2 AMS), at even 600 or 700 meters, for indirect fire, lets see if you can hit anything let alone get a target, especially if as a New Mech or Player with no skills unlocked, vs a couple of mechs with a couple dozen unlocked. Chance, fairness, no matter how you slice this cake, it's hostile towards new players in general, and just overall bad. Looks good at first glance, until you try starting from scratch and find yourself getting turned into creamed soup.
Several new posts out on in social media now, concerning anyone wanting to play this game, in a word discouraging anyone. Not good for us, or our player base.
If it's not broke, don't fix it. Someone tried to fix it, ended up breaking it, now it needs fixing.

I like how everyone was asking for these changes during the PTS and as soon as PGI implemented them people got a collective amnesia and are now asking to revert them.

I like how the people complaining the most/loudest are the ones when you look up their stats, have shown little to no signs of ever improving from being bad players even when the data sample size available to compare against measures in the THOUSANDS of matches over nearly 3 years of jarl's data.

You sound like someone who mains LRM boats. Don't rely on lock on weapons. Problem solved.
