All you have to do is lock someone for an assist.

The whole point of lootbag rewards is to reward active players, not casual event attendees.

63 games or so is still a lot of games for people who might not have as much free time as you.

Over 18 days, that's 3.5 matches a day, not unreasonable. More realistically it will probably take players 5-6 matches a day average. I probably won't end up completing it, but it's only a cockpit item anyway.

Aren't loot bags every 10 assists this time around? I can't remember what it said.

Paying you to play... why complain... Tho buying you with loot bags really doesn't say much for your self worth. I think my time is worth way more than a loot bag.

How is this hard?

If you are a player that in previous lootbag events that simply dive a mech and died to get your 50 match score and leave game for the next... Well guess what? You can't and actually have to TRY to play the game.

This event is IMO excellent. Stops the absolutely idiotic behaviour that many people do during lootbag events and means that they will actually need to play the game/match out.

The 750 assist one actually isnt all that unreasonable, especially compared to the original damage event requirments. Basically the average player will need to get 6-8 assists in about 6-7 matches played every day for all 18 days of the stage of the event - if we assume 1 absolute crapshoot loss (IE 2-12 loss or something along those lines) every four matches we would still need to do aabouuutttt maybe 8-9 matches a day.

The problem isnt the difficult though, its the burnout I think.

This event is reasonable and very do-able even for someone who doesn't play more than 5-7 matches a day. The kill assists requirement is very easy as you don't even need to damage someone to get an assist. Just lock on. See? Even PGI wants people to press the "R" key. It may even become muscle memory, who knows?

I think I will play MWO again in a few days' time when the 2nd phase kicks in. That way, I can do the Damage Requirement and Kill Assists requirement together while the 3rd phase kicks in and then be able to partially do all 3 simultaneously and complete them all.

The only thing is to decide which mech to choose as a reward. I picked the Mauler as my Last Loot Bag event reward.

You do? Kill assists don't require being useful. One could just take a random fast mech with a large ER, sweep it across as many enemies as possible, die horribly, and pray your team wins for 15 no effort assists.

Or you could lock every target available, because thats all it takes.

The moral of the story, kids, is to keep hitting that R key.

Honestly I think we need to talk about something more important than this event... I saw an ant trail today.

PUGs are going to have to stop hiding and start actually shooting.

What's not to like about that?

i just watched an arctic wolf, assasin and urban mech hold off 6 mechs including assaults and heavies who couldn't push a corner.

i'm done with this game during events. no free colour scheme is worth this stupidity.

I generally get 10 assists a match if I don't go on a killing spree. So that's about 75 matches within 17 days, or 4.5 matches a day. Not too bad.

Being fair, I could hold off 2 assaults in my Urbie solo... so...
