Anyone else following this game? It is created by the original developers from Descent, built as a spiritual successor to that game. Interplay holds the rights to the "Descent" title, but these guys have the rights to everything else but the story of Descent. Somehow they managed to raise about $60,000 in the last 2 hours of their kickstarter, and managed to make goal.

If you have not tried out the free demo/concept, but love 6DoF and the original Descent, you gotta try it. It's a pretty small download. On hardest difficulty, the AI is pretty mean, and the way the gameplay feels is right. Map design is extremely reminiscent of the original Descents, too - by intention.

Stumbled on it the other day when I was craving some Descent and was looking for something similar. Sublevel Zero is great and all, but it isn't the original. It certainly doesn't feel the same - too bright and colorful. This? Overload? It has that claustrophobic, grim, locked in a disorienting mine with psycho robots high paced action of the original two Descents. They even kept the musician from the original two games. :D

Yeah man, I have a community on PS4 for this game! It has cross platform play between PC and console as well. This is one awesome game and honestly one of the best out there right now.

I must admit that I like this game, and makes me wish we had a few shall I say experimental weapons of similar look that we could put on our mechs. But Yeah, I love this game, thank you for posting.
