I think one reason why a lot of PUG matches go so horribly, is due to a lack of communication. Because I know that there are a lot of pilots who either do not speak or understand the same language.

A way to fix this, is to create new servers to accommodate certain languages. There are forums dedicated to those who speak other languages, why can't there be servers for those same languages?

mainly because it is so hard to be a Drop caller in either a FP or QP pug trying to utilize VOIP and no one understands the language you are speaking or you do not understand the language they are speaking.

I believe this to be a main cause of why a lot of PUG matches end badly, due to lack of communication due to the language barrier. I am sure there are several other reasons why some PUG matches end badly, but i think lack of communication is one of the big ones.

I feel that not only this will help with the communication problem, I also feel this would also help with searching/Waiting times for QP/FP.

There's just not enough population to support more servers.

PGI would absolutely love to have the population to support French, German, Spanish, Korean, et al, language servers, but really the pop's not there.

NOW, if PGI would actually INVEST some money in advertising the darned game, MAYBE we'd see an increase in numbers, BUT UNTIL THEN, nah, we'll have declining numbers, and no where near the numbers necessary to support language specific servers.

Population is way too small to support this.

In addition, it's not so much language that causes matches to go badly as it is skill and self-centered piloting. In my experience in QP, high amounts of chatter is actually a indicator that my team is going to lose. In contrast, I've had silent matches go flawlessly because everyone just knew where to go and what to do. No amount of communication/planning is able to correct for people who can't/won't execute those plans.

This is too true. In fact last night I got so frustrated with people holding back in matches waiting to steal kills or whatever, I started calling out things like "That Timberwolf is open CT, one shot", without it actually being true, and LOW AND BEHOLD people started coming out of hiding trying to steal that kill. Things started dying quickly, as soon as I'd call it as a "one shot" kill...

Most of the time they won't even know you're lying because they so seldom ever press R to target anything...

Not enough population to divide up the servers into smaller regions. And lack of communication is part of pug life.

Oh I agree totally, but shouting out commands over VOIP doesnt mean a bloody thing if they cannot understand you. Hence why I said it is a big reason, meaning one reason.

I mean I just came out of a match that half of the pilots didnt speak english.

LOL, well you're right in that.

However, I hadn't noticed anyone having difficulty understanding which targets I was calling out as one shot, last night.

That, and well... let's face the hard truth about humanity in general: People can potato in any language.
