How low have we fallen.
Multiple times for the past four days.
I've seen people actually nascar car around the downed Drop ship.
Seriously people why in Blake's And Kerensky's names!
I swear if they were not fake deceased fictional characters they would cry.Posted Image

Apparently NASCAR is the only thing people know how to do.

Frozen city is a strangely static map, because of lanes of fire and over watch positions. A few games I’ve barely moved, other than shuffling around getting/breaking line of sight, when using any sort of long ranged build (laser vomit, ac2 or LRMs). The lack of cover for taller mechs is really an issue, as a few assaults and heavies taking cover behind a building will just be shot over the top. While in a brawler, I often feel I’m just there to punish anyone who actually makes a move.

Nascar being de rigueur on some maps can be an issue, but static firing lines aren’t much better. The occasional bit of movement is not necessarily a bad thing.

Well thankfully we know that wasn't you.

You would've been sitting back around 800m from the dropship just lobbing LRMs at people and probably hitting nothing but said dropship. Posted Image

Classic maps were made for 4 vs 4... back in closed beta.. when there were only 4 mechs in the whole game..

And that's all you need to know about them..

This is because our current player base is heavily conditioned to play in a static manner when they shouldn't and moving in circles when they ought not to.

Frozen City (classic) and Forest Colony (classic) are dynamic aggressive maps that reward forcefull play and coordinated fire.

If our current player base isn't playing hidey go pokey they are turning left-run real fast NASCARing around a terrain feature.

So what's new? That happened in the past pretty often when these weren't tagged as classic?

No one likes you Ashy you know that right?
And if you knew me you'd know I would never be there.
Personal insults are the domain of the dull intellect.
I thought better of you.

Personal insult? Posted Image Posted Image

How is saying what you do in game - given I've seen you do it time and time again - an insult? You're always at the back, every time, without fail.

Did you have any comment about the subject of the thread?

I normally love to hear your take on various subjects in the brown sea and enjoy your streams, but this is just trolly. If you have no interest in the subject, why come in and start a fight?

Anyway...

I've seen the behaviour as well. I, and probably a lot of others, have never experienced these new (old) maps. It may take a while to unlearn the anticlockwise habit. It would be great if some of the older hands would speak up in chat, and give a bit of direction to us potatoes (which I sometimes hear Ash do, depending on what beer he's on).

Not a hell of a lot to add.

I'm stirring you up and farming some 'thumbs up' posts cause you didn't have anyone to HODOR the door and it was wide open. I gotta take a opportunity like that. Would be unAustralain if I didn't.

You're under the misapprehension that "Australian-ness" is equal to being a b*stard to everyone you meet. That's just something the b*stards convince themselves of, so they don't feel so bad about their actions.

To be fair to Ash, PGI didn't name Caustic Valley after him because of his charm and politeness. The man has a reputation to keep.

Calling a spade - a spade - is quite simply being accurate and to the point.

Sorry I'm not here to rub everyone on the belly and tell them they are doing a good job. That is for their mother to do.

It's not my fault is people choose to take offence to something I say. That is their choice, but I'm certainly not going to lose sleep over it.
