[Shell Game]

What is this clan commander and how do I disable it? This annoying voice gives constant match updates and is otherwise very distracting! 2 yrs away from the game and I come back to this?

Not a battletech topic.. But go into sound, and it is one of the voice dialogs, turn it down or click the checkbox for it and it'll fade or flat out disappear much to your delight!

And its rather strange that the Clans were given this voice.. considering that the Clansman not only speak English more commonly than any IS faction, they speak proper English...

If they were going to have any accent at all, then most of the non-English words abbreviated into words with no English equivalent... come from the Russian language. Alexsandr Kerensky also spoke with a Russian accent, he and his son (the founder of the Clans) are quite revered, so if any accent were to be taken, it would be their accent.

Jes' sayin'....the Clan commander voice really has no place here; sounds more like a gruff merc from a desert planet.

To me the Clan commander sounds like a constipated elemental.

Yes, that is what I have been saying. The guy sounds like he is giving orders while constipated on the toilet.

Wonder if we can get PGI to pay for more studio time with George Ledoux for some better narration.

Or maybe the voice actor who did the dialog for Nicolai Malthus, just for a good laugh if anything else.
