Nobody ever listens anyways.... No body ever listens to the information you give them.... everything just gets ignored... So why have Coms at all?

Few things annoy me more than being in a intense fight and some corpse is going WAH WAH WAAHH cause he got killed by his own stupidity and wants to blame everyone else for it.

Cause, guess what? in solo, people play solo.

I think it should be an option to have group only coms
other than discord cause apparently the overlay is part of the reason people get dropped

it's the general mentality of players in qp
Solo QP is not a team mode, it is not meant to be a team mode, and if you're telling yourself it can be, you're just lying to yourself (as I had for a long time). Occasionally you might have a few people follow calls, but it's a rarity rather than the status quo
If you're looking to play in a setting of team minded players the only way to do that is to find some, join them, and drop with them in group que, faction play, or comp

Com wheel abuse makes me ignore com wheel commands, as simple as that. People call for help all the time, and of course they are ignored.
Good, sensible communications like that of Haven Kendrick or Panzermagier are generally followed, though. Which is good.

If I call out "Atlas Charlie exposed, focus Atlas Charlie" AND 2-4 teammates have line of sight to the Atlas, AND Atlas is in fact pushing on his own and out of cover, 75% chance they will focus fire on Atlas Charlie. I'll also use the com wheel to put a "target spotted" tag on Atlas Charlie.
If I call out "we're scattered, suggest regroup at Golf 9" I'd say 60-70% of the time a majority of the team makes a reasonable effort to regroup there or nearby.
If I call out "we have the numbers 10 vs 6 we should push" they might push, it's a tossup.
If I'm leading a cluster and crest a hill first and take damage and say "4 assaults over the crest" 75% chance the guys behind will poke around hills or do something other than predictably go where i just was and get shot at.
If I call out "Locust Echo no armor left leg, focus left leg" 40/60 people start aiming for legs.
I'll do banter, but only before contact with the enemy, or when it's clear we're mopping up or getting mopped up. The guys who want to have a dinner conversation about the finer details of their loadout as we're starting to engage kinda bug me.
The person saying "you assaults need to get up here NOW and join the fight or WE'LL LOSE BECAUSE OF YOU" in a whiny tone, people tend to not listen to. Personally, they detract from my fun. You very well could be a better player than me, I'm not great. But the tone doesn't do a lot to convince me you know what you are doing.

Of course you'll get some people who want to just do their thing, but I for one love having someone with the confidence to call a match. I will generally try to follow calls to the best of my ability (if it's logical for me to do so in the build I'm running). I don't feel I have the ability to read a match well enough to do it myself. Oh, I'll call UAV's, strikes and sometimes targets, but I generally have enough trouble applying my brain power to keeping myself alive.

Sure we do, people just have to have something constructive/interesting to say.

Other times I just like casual banter because I'm really bored...

I'll say this though. It's better to have a quick chat over Comms with the team to sync up the battle plan while you're waiting for the match to start and then go from there. I won't advise suddenly talking over on Comms when you reach the hotspot and start telling everyone what to do.

dude...people been using teamspeak and discord for ages....this whole complaining about in game coms when there literally optional is the dumbest thing ive ever heard people argue about. just hit the off button, and speak on TS or discord.
