Take a moment to reflect and only be positive:

1) What do you like most about MWO?

2) What is PGI doing right in MWO?

3) What is your single favorite weapon in MWO and why?

Mine:
1- Being able to play with and against MechWarrior fans from around the world.
2- Continually creating variety with events, mechs, and tweaks.
3- Gauss Rifle, punches hard both far and near for pinpoint damage.

MechPorn.
Not much substance outside that anymore.

The art. (See MechPorn)

Can't bring it to just one. They all have their place. (even if some are implemented improperly)

1. The overall "feel" and control set for mechs is pretty much perfect for the PC MW series.

2. Isn't this the same question as #1 just rephrased? I guess I'll also add in the art style of the game (outside of a few weird cases with wonky geometry that looks terribad).

3. RAC/2 because it really punches above its weight in a way that most ballistics don't. Small slot size, fairly lightweight, very high ammo per ton, low heat, very high continuous DPS, decent range. Its only real weakness (though a significant one) is a lack of frontloaded damage. Most ballistics require a high upfront investment before it starts to pay off but the RAC/2 pays off with only a very small investment.

Mech designs and artwork. Imo, MW:O has the best looking mechs out of the entire series and what I would picture to be plausible war machines instead of the noodle arms of some of the old classic battletech designs.

1. Mech design, Alex ha done an amazing job on so many mechs. i recently got the Corsair just for the look of it its fantastic.

2. doing best? well honestly since 'The Dong' ive been increasingly disappointed in how the game has been going. the Corsiar is the first time ive spent money here in im not even sure how long now. what do they do well? keep me playing still despite everything.

3.ive always liked medium pulse lasers, 5 or more of those on a mech with laser duration reduction + skill tree is just really satisfying. i got a Champion recently and gave an LB10 and 5 MPLs, its pretty fun

Sweet spot of long TTK if played right, short if played wrong.

Lasers not being insta-hit and having a duration.

I guess really.. the core mechanics are really spot on in this iteration of the series.

1) The mechporn and the community (trolls, scrubs, tryhards, and all)
2) Providing the game, but beyond that nothing.
3) MPL clan or IS, because I like shooting a lot at reasonable range.

1- The events, the trinkets and war-horns. Also that it's a BT Mechwarrior shooter we can play PvP.

2- What is PGI doing right? a.The artistic side of the game (mech design) really shines despite the game being old and needing another newer engine. (guess that would be MWO 2 or an updated new version that may come in the future). b.The mech customization -though it was better before the skill tree-, the variety of weapons, engines and equipment. c. Certain maps they have produced are well crafted and are good to play with weapons of all ranges.
d. The extensive battlemech and omnimech choice you get here (its a big family nowPosted Image)

3- Though is not the weapon I use most is the one I enjoy more firing : AC/5

Thanks for making a positive topic, is good for a change from all the necessary salt in the forums. Posted Image

1. Mech on Mech combat.

2. Giving away stuff for free and being generous while I must say that the Art Department is absolutely EXCELLENT! Not to mention the guys at the Customer Care. They're great as well.

3. I don't have one as I use them all with equal frequency. Although I haven't used the Goose Waffle a lot.

1. The combat and feel of mechs. It feels like you're in a mech for the most part unlike other FPS with mechs. I wish they'd delve further into immersion aspects of the game. But the comp scene would probably complain that it was effecting their gameplay.

2. They're not doing that much right now. I think handing out new quirks to under performers is something they should escalate. They should explore new quirks. It would increase variety of mechs in queue and reduce player burnout from repetition.

3. UAC10. It's got a decent range, decent velocity, good burst damage. Two of them are good enough on their own to be considered a build.

1) MWO is truly free to play.

2) Keeping MWO free to play

3) LRMs. It suits my general playstyle

1. They made a shooter that isn't twitchy. The pace of mwo is quite relaxed and slow compared to those other shooters.
2. The art. Lots of us wouldn't be here if they mechs looked like my junior and high school rockets glued together on a card board box.
3. Lrms because they are the hard mode weapon to get kills and damage with when you use them with small launchers on mediums and lights and refuse to be one of those lrm-las types.

1. The variety of mechs is astounding and they keep adding to it . 12 vs 12 human players. Loot bag events with grand prizes at the end .

2. Devs interact with the community regardless of all the insults . PGI makes me feel that any financial support is very much appreciated . The freebies are very generous .

3 Long range missiles. XD XD XD

1) The action. ******* love going into a brawl and shots are whizzing by and lasers are crisscrossing while missiles are just flying by. Pull the trigger and see half the enemy mech explode into sparks while it recoils to the side, flames and smoke billowing from it.

2) Art style. Mechs are a solid 11 outa 10, with a few exceptions of 8 outa 10s here and there (but are again balanced back out with the few 100 outa 10 mechs).

3) With vanilla sounds, AC/20 for the resounding pfBOOOM whenever you fire it and the truckload of damage it does on a hit. With modded sounds, RAC/5 for both the stupid amounts of damage it can output against enemies out of position and can sound like a minigun/chaingun with the right sound mod.

1) MechWarrior game that feels like a MechWarrior game, like the kind I played in my youth. While I still buy BattleTech PDFs most of my time for tabletop play has evaporated, MWO scratches the hunger for BattleTech combat well enough.

2) MechPorn - Visually PGI got the 'Mechs right and glad to see the visual style they've developed persist in both the HBS game and MW5.

3) AC/20. I love Old School Big Thump.
