Airstrikes won't help you if your opponent is an onyx- like tiger that hides in a space- age jungle ;)

First time in Solaris I choose a 30ton mech and then fight a warhammer 70ton mech... This game mode sucks!!! Not fun at all. It should only allow equal tonnage fights.

The division lists are public. Ignore them at your own peril.

Plenty of fun... if your default reaction to getting your **** kicked isn't "Waaaaaaaaah, I'm entitled to a WIN!!!" but rather "Let's pick a mech that's going to kick YOUR ****. Bring it on, *****!"

No, it shouldn't.
Not only it would be basically unplayable, splitting the whole thing into 20+ queues, but anyone with even the slightest bit of experience in the game can tell you that mechs of the same weight do not perform equally.
The division system groups chassis based on their comparative performance - it's not perfect but it's hella better than weight-based grouping.

Current leader boards by weight - Tuesday 11/19
7) 35 - 35 - 45 - 40 - 50
6) 50 - 55 - 55 - 45 - 45
5) 55 - 55 - 55 - 80 - 45
4) 80 - 80 - 80 - 65 - 65
3) 100 - 95 - 100 - 95 100
2) 100 - 95 - 80 - 90 - 85
1) 100 - 100 - 100 - 100 - 100

Weight alone does not justify the effectiveness of a 1 v 1 battle mech, but if you want more diversity in these leader boards, there really needs to be something tweaked to motivate attempting lighter weights and variations in the arena.

Tier One right now is just stupid - 37 of the top 40 leaders are in 100- ton mechs, and 33 of them are Annihilators. Why the heck would anyone bother to try and crack the leader board in anything else? Someone, please, TRY to plead your case that Tier One rankings are currently based on skill, or talent, or configuration, over running a 100-ton fatty

If everyone is running the same mech right now essentially is it not almost entirely based on skill and talent lol.

Okay - then why bother forcing lighter mech models to fight in Division 7? Arctic Wolf, for example...

Because some people are really good fast mech pilots. In your specific example of an arctic wolf, if Ghost is around he will demolish most annhi in an arctic wolf.

If the match goes 10 minutes, start shelling the arena with long toms, whoever survives wins.

Ummm... yeah, NO that doesn't work. The fatty with his *** backed into a corner is still getting an easy win that way.

Has anyone ever been penalised for actually do that though?

Although not in SOLARIS … but in QUICKPLAY I have gotten many TEMPORARY banns for running away and hiding, to force enemies to SPLIT & SEARCH me so that I might at least get a chance to kill one more of them before they finally get me or time runs out.

The biggest problem in my eyes is that MW0 doesnt allow a HONORABLE way to give up by retreating ( except for the first mechs in FACTION Play where you can press K to get your next mech )

Beside SOLARIS, I also hate the SKIRMISH mode, as there is no way to end this mode early ( except by killing yourself which is also against the Code of Conduct )

If the victor in a standoff / tie game was determined by damage inflicted, would that give the smaller mechs too much advantage? I would think it would definitely motivate the bigger ones to actually HUNT instead of posting up in a deep corner and waiting it out...
