1. Not really with ECM. Otherwise #3 answers it.

2. Yes - Because no OrionIIC Brawler should be running 83km/h, you're down on ammo/DHS if that is the case. Should be around 75km/h off the top of my head. Anyway Orion-VA does it near enough

3. Yes. GHP-5H, WHM-6D or Black Knights. 3LL & ERML combo.

4. In what way? Dakka? If so Champion with RAC2s might be close as well as BSW's

5. MX90, Anni, Fafnir etc.

6. ASN's

If you want something almost the same you're really not going to find it as that is the ENTIRE point of MWO. To be different. The mechs are different in speed or quirks and that brings flavour to the game.

2. Running at 83kph is helping me engage and disengage when needed right now and the ammo is on the edge. I'll do around 1K damage if I survive long enough and I've done that. Other times, I get about a couple of solo kills and some KMDDs before I die so, it's ok for QP for me. When I move to FW, then I'll drop the engine to a lower rated one and load up on ammo.

3. Isn't the Jag better with ERPPCs and UAC 10 burst build? I didn't know or thought of making a laser vomit out of it. Hmm....

4. Different Veagle variants does different things, so I was hoping for a list of medium mechs that could rival each of those variants, actually. I have tried the Crab SL (MPLs) and Bushwhacker X1 (triple RAC2) in PTS. They're decent but could they rival the Veagle? How 'bout the Shadow Hawk or Blackjack?

5. I have the Mauler MX 90 (C) that I got during the X'mas event. I can't find a good loadout for it. I'm currently keeping it on 2 LBX10s and SRMs. I tried the dual UAC 5s and UAC 10s on it in the Testing Ground and it didn't work there at all so I don't know how effective it'd be in an actual match.

6. Assassin 21 is what you mean, right? I have to try one soon.

Well, I can only comment on the Bushwacker X1 in this context. Here are my results with it...

Mech' Matches Played Wins Losses Ratio Kills Deaths Ratio Damage Done XP Earned Time Played

BUSHWACKER BSW-X1 104 67 37 1.81 119 62 1.92 55,426 197,890 11:18:34

BUSHWACKER BSW-X1(S) 121 79 42 1.88 170 62 2.74 82,426 286,491 14:48:37

The second set of numbers comes from my Smurf. I bought the Bushie in T2 on my main account and in T4 on my Smurf. I do not own a Vapor Eagle, so you will have to make up your mind yourself on how it compares, I guess...

***EDIT: Format fuckup... resolved...

That's a mere 8 kph difference; at those middle speeds, it's not a big enough difference to matter. Unless you aren't staying the team and are instead doing wide flanks, you don't actually need to be running around with a 360 engine, a 350 will do fine. Since you're speed-tweaking it to get 83 anyway, you should know that a 350 will only cost you 2 kph all said and done.

I would actually say the Warhammer is better at UAC/10s than the EBJ, the laser options it has just sync better with them and you can also combine with cooler-running PPCs more appropriate for the bracket than cERPPCs. The speed of the EBJ doesn't really matter much here because, again, you are staying with the team and not trying to make wide solo flanks with this build.

The Crab has one specialty, and that's being very hard to kill. It uses that to survive long enough do get damage done in brawl situations. It's not a straight comparison to the VEagle.

The BSW with 3x RAC/2 is a different animal compared to the UAC/2 VEagle, but I'd say they are fairly comparable.

The Shadowhawk 2H might also rival the VEagle with AC/2s and MRMs; it never has to stop firing as long as it has ammo and those AC/2s fire very quickly.

Blackjacks, my specialty, are more of an analogue to the Huntsman than the VEagle. You can do 2AC/2 and 4/6MedLas, AC/5s and 6ERSmalls, AC/10 or UAC/10 and 5/6MedLas, Gauss and 6ER MedLas, full MedLas vomit, MedPulse vomit, H/PPC poptarting, even SRM brawling and MG boating. But they aren't miniature Assaults the way the VEagle is.

Any of the Sleipnir builds I recommended in my gigantic post on the previous page will fit on it. The go-to build on that 'Mech is usually 6x UAC/2 (LFE300) or 3x AC/5+2xUAC/5 (STD280) if you want to be more old-school.

You might also try 2x UAC/10 + 3x AC/2; same weight as the 2x UAC/10 + 2x UAC/5 but dramatically fewer slots consumed, making it easier to fit ammo and also enabling you to bring an LFE.

Or the Assassin 23. I linked the build for both the 21 and the 23 on the previous page.

I was looking at the notifications only and missed your post. Besides, it wasn't gigantic enough Posted Image

Thanks. I'll be checking out those builds.
