Can field a few things on that front: Either PGI's building up for a big mech pack (they didn't always do mech-a-month you know), they've shifted folks over to mapmaking and faction play (like people on mechpacks have been whining for years), or they're focusing on MW5 stuff. or hell, a combo of all three.
point is, be patient. We've got more than enough mechs for now, and a couple more on the way before there isn't a mechpack to look forward to.

Yeah I know that PGI once used to release larger (4 chassis) mech packs a few times a year rather than a monthly buy-a-chassis-3pack (plus reinforcements and hero). The point is PGI has been telling us for years that the team that makes maps isnt the same as the team that makes mechpacks and is different from the team that balances (nerfs) things and of course that MW5 is a separate unit all together. If all these teams are separate as PGI has claimed then there is no reason to delay the release of this months (as well as last months) new shiny thing to buy (which is also how PGI pays its bills, so we are told). Russ said weeks ago he will make an anouncement, even "appear" on the Bombadil Show and talk about it...but I don't think it ever happened. Honestly, waiting for 5 weeks is being more than patient (not to mention how long we have waited for progress in other areas...new game modes, new maps (original, not just re-releasing the 8v8 maps), match maker improvements, true reworks for faction play and S7...all of which has been mostly stagnant for over a year). I know its a tall order to fill for a small company, I totally get that...but seriously the wait has been more than long enough!

... or they abandoning slowly this game. Like YUyahoo said: no relevant new features since a while. Ah, yes, small studio, all working on MW5, .... all we heard on the last Mechcon.

Did you just started playing mwo recently? Did you miss the:
Skill tree system
New weapon tech
Rebilate oasis, and hibernal rift, and Solaris City
Testing out the new Match maker for faction play
Solaris
Rehaul of lrms, streaks, and ATMs
Rebalance of clan laser vomit
Added clan Nova cat, steel viper, and diamond shark
Competitive mod
Incursion mode
Rehaul of AMS
Support action like missle destroyed and uav detections increases match score.
Free loot boxes system
Import and export builds in mech lab
And more that I failed to add.
This is all that has changed since the last 2 years I played mwo. I think what pgi accomplished is impressive.

Been hearing this since they announced MW5. PGI has stated many times that the people working on MW5 are not the same people who work on MWO.
