What would happen if the AMS received a c-bill bonus according to how many missiles it shoots down. This could encourage players to use an AMS more often. Thus creating a reward for investing tonnage for the AMS and the ammo.
What if they added laser AMS that adds heat to the players mech, as if firing a weapon its self. Perhaps make the Laser AMS like a tiny point defense pulse laser, 3 round burst/ per 0.5 sec at 180m 1 heat (or lower) per shot, and around 2, maybe 2.5 tons or 1.5 tons so it can fit on the Locust. To balance with ammo related AMS. Or what ever setup would be best to balance it with ammo related AMS.
The Laser AMS was in MW4 and cost 1.5 tons with heat build up in that game.
Perhaps add optional colors to these lasers. That could be cool and it could be used as counter intelligence to confuse the enemy of what you have equipped.
It probably does not seem balanced to have Laser AMS but it was apart of MW4 and, would still be way awesome to have it. I would like to give the idea a try on test server
