Look, I hope I'm figuring this out well enough on my own, because I dig the story line based stuff so far...what little I've seen with it. Looks to be a cool addition.

I'm really hoping it's Scouting only until this "hotfix" we heard about.

Dependent upon how long it's gonna take for the "hotfix," perhaps the Dev's would be open to a brief period of 4v4 unrestricted weight class in the scouting setting. Just open up the weight restrictions until the hotfix.

No, no actual scouting is really going to get done, but it opens up possibilities for goofing off until everything is good to go.

PGI haven been told many times that a mandatory scouting mode would be a very bad idea.

this 24hr scouting phase is for this first conflict only. Paul already said that the next conflict will not include scouting. And that the coming conflicts that do, will have shorter scouting phases.
Just give the new system some time and adjust.

Scouting should run concurrently to Invasion like it did before. Then there's a point to running Scouting a few times to give your side better chances in Invasion.
