List your preferences here please.

I was playing around with the Catapult and it feels like it's made for LBX 10s but there isn't enough tonnage to put anything else in there to synergize with the range but SRM 2s sync up with the cooldown. So, I thought dual LBX10s for range and when the enemies close in, fire 4 SRM 2s together with the LBXs.

King Crab and Marauder feel like MRM heavy mechs.

I haven't tried the Catapult yet, but that LBX/SRM2 build sounds adequate.

so far the catapult is a good lb and srm platform. im really liking the erll hsl+1 modifier on the maurader (first time i ever enjoyed running an erll boat). i havent ran the other 2 yet. but i build the whammy as a dual hppc platform backed by spls. the crab is running lb2s, mrm30 and 3xsrm4s.

Do you feel that the long range weapons on low mounts to be a problem, like on the Marauder and King Crab? I desperately wanted some sort of dakka on the KC but it feels like the arms are very low. At least on my Dire Wolf, the arms are relatively high I think.

there not that low on the marauder, its certainly not knee level like gargles/exe. maybe on some other maps like polar but all ive gotten is grim plexus and it works out ok there. wouldnt want to trade with a better erll boat, but with the hsl+1 i can fire all four and only get up to 70%.

Built the Whammy and the Catapult so far.

Went for a dual HPPC build on the Whammy with the included 350XL engine. Plays like a bigger IS version of the HBK-IICA.

Haven't played the Catapult but I'm gonna try a dual LB20 build to take advantage of the 10% LB cooldown quirk. Should be able to get the cooldown to about 3 seconds which is pretty quick and will be different.

I've ran the cat with a LRM 5 a LRM 15, a RAC 2 and a lmg on a light 300. It can throw 500+ damage consistently, if the entire team doesn't fall apart in the first minute. It's very cold, so you just hold down all the weapons on the one particular mech you don't like. With the range bonuses anything within 1100-200 meters is in trouble.

The Warhammer I am running with an ERPPC, an ERLL and 5 medium lasers, I only had 1 game but it threw 700 damage.

The marauder I am running with the 4 Erll and some streaks on a light 300, it throws 700+ damage quite often.

I am not happy with the king crab yet, and I appreciate any improvements or help.

With Catapult I'm running 2LB20X, works okay with 250XL.

Marauder I built up with MRM40+20 + 5xML (with ECM obviously), It's actually pretty good.

King Crab I equipped with 4xLGRs just for sh*ts and giggles. Fun to spam gauss shots but not very good.

With Warhammer I've tried 3xLL+4xML, its okay but boring, then went to 2xHPPC+5xSL, meh... So haven't found anything that great with that mech yet..

I'm assuming you mean standard 250 engine unless you've figured out crit splitting but haven't told PGI...?

Why I love Catapults so much? Because you can do almost anything you want with them and pgi made them dam good as one of those things they got right until that dynamic geomotry incident we don't like to talk about.

I am liking the dual LBX20 / STD 250 on the catapult. Strip the ears, shave the legs a bit (who shoots catapult legs...almost no one I found tonight), you can get 5.5 tons of ammo. With all nodes, thats 55 shots. A bit light, but convergence seems better than the same build on a HBK-IIC. Really wish I could cram a jump jet in there, but just not enough ammo for me.

Protip: with the cooldown quirk, a LB10X delivers 4.938 DPS (0.4489 DPS/T) and LB20X 5.556 DPS (0.3968 DPS/T). Switch to LB10s and you'll have a lot more breathing room

this was how i used to run my k2 a long long time ago (that and mls). for the mw5 variant maybe strip the ears down to 10 points armor and stick rocket launchers in them and be sure to unload em asap.

So far i only changed the Warhammer and gave it 3 ErPPC,s . It works alright

AS for the others i have kept them as they are for now .

The LFE one I would change a little to give it a little more speed. Ferro switched to endo, MRM30+30 to MRM40+20 and shave little leg armor to upgrade engine from 300 to 325.

If you're breaking it up into 40+x, then 40+10+10 is a little less heat-efficient but takes up 1T less (allowing you to take more ammo or shave less leg armor)

Question about these 'mechs and apologies if this is the wrong section/dead horse. I had pre-ordered before this was announced during the Marauder 2 sale. I received it, but will I be receiving these as well? If so, when do they release? I did not have any of them in my collection as of yesterday afternoon CDT.
