I think the current priority of the MatchMaker should be shifted to : Balancing the amount of players in each queue, to increase the amount of matches being played.
So let's say the queue is at ~48vs12 : Instead of selecting the biggest, strongest team out of the 48 player queue, the MatchMaker should selected the weakest one, to increase the odds those last 12 players from the smaller queue will have a fun match instead of a stomp, and so stay for another match.
Under the understanding that stomps are so poorly compensated they are not worth the time spent playing them, because MWO does not take into account respective team levels when paying out rewards for those completely one-sided matches.
