Personally, I don't care unless it's MC -- and the 500 MS one is the closest, and I admit I have a hard time punching through.

I constantly get 450+ even with 900 damage out from my MCII. That being said, I witched with my ATM33 Veagle, and it became easy. Dang ATM Poptart prolly needs some nerf.

Use UAVs and AMS, the 500 comes easy.

Hit and Run, I always seem to be trading rather than one-sidedly hitting and avoiding damage.

+1
Mostly because hit and run has stupid triggers.
How is THIS --> https://youtu.be/Afe1MfO5XoY?t=70 not a Hit and Run.

Okay so:

Be in engagment range (sensor range)
Shoot an enemy mech, everry point of damage you inflict counts as 1 point
Every point of damage you recieve counts as -2points.

If you recieve more then -14 points, hit and run reward will not be granted and score is zeroed.

If you have a score of 10 or more and disengage for more then 10 seconds, hit and run reward is granted

If you inflict or take damage before you reach a score of -15 points the 10 second timer resets.

Easiest way to get hit and run reward is:

Be in sensor range
shoot someone for 10+ damage
do not get shoot at
wait for 10+ seconds without engaging.

If you do get shot at, make sure it's less then 7,5 damage total or less then 7,5 damage + half your inflicted damage.

That's both interesting and unnecessarily complex. Where did you find it?

For Hit and Runs, make a 30 or 35 ton mech running over 130kph and boating medium lasers or ERMLs. The playstyle required generally means you're poking from a distance for an alpha, then pulling back to cool down and reposition so you'll get the hit and runs.

The hardest part of the event was logging into the game....... Another game was selected and I missed the whole thing....... There wasn't any MC anyway.... Maybe, if I can find the enthusiasm and if the event has MC, I might take some Prozac and log on........... Wow, I never thought I'd feel this way about this game..... ouch. And, everyone is gone that I knew......

Well, this new one sure is great. I played two games tonight. Both Polar Highlands. Logged off immediately.

I read the requirements for the new event and thought "Erm, no, not gonna do that."

Forcing people to play sub par systems and/or stuff they do not play regularly will reduce the quality of matches even more. I do not even own half the weapon systems they want me to do damage with. So I am just going to log on and play when I have the time and mood and ignore the event.

Hit and Run for sure. 10 seconds is way too long of a wait time.

In the last event I hopped into my Osiris for the first time in forever and I figured I'd take a while to finish off the 10 Kill/KMDDs in a light mech challenge. I think it only took three matches and I had a lot of fun with it because it was a playstyle I hadn't done in a while. Open yourself up to trying new builds, drop for a bit in the Training Grounds to get a feel for the mech and decide on possible in-match tactics, and go for it - you might be surprised.

For this challenge I saw SSRM2 and Light PPC and groaned but then got to thinking about how to complete it. While I skilled up my Blackjack BJ-2 with LRMs and MRMs aided with medium lasers, this build looks to be pretty competent considering the quirks on the BJ-2.

I'd suggest buying the Bushwacker BSW-P2 for c-bills. It has the tonnage and space to fit at least one of any Inner Sphere weapon (including Heavy Gauss or LB20X) and is a nice mech to boot. It is rather expensive due to its stock XL engine though.

Another mech that I personally love but some think is weird is the Champion. The 1N, 1N2, 2N, and 3N also have the space and tonnage to fit at least one of any IS weapon and all but the 3N come stock with a standard engine so it's cheaper to buy.

Clan mechs gonna be a cakewalk.

Yeah, I got that problem on the current event... Played 5 matches, did not have fun on any of them... Not even on the one win I managed to eke out...

the clan ac20 was annoying
i didn't have one because it sucks donkey balls, 1.2mill cbills cost.......seriously, if running a clanner ac20, you're going uac20.

i did have fun with lbx2 clan, components flying everywhere

LOL. Sometimes the decisions that me from 2 or 3 years ago made baffle me now, but they prove useful. I apparently had a real hatred of UAC jams prior to Skill Tree so had a Nova and Executioner mounting C-AC/20.

The only weapon for this challenge I didn't already have mounted a 'Mech was light PPCs, but that wasn't expensive thing to do.

the event itself... forcing people to use underperforming weapons and build up improbable mechs for 100 mc.. I can live without. I already accumulated enough mc from previous events to buy the sleipnir, rest of heroes are pure garbage for me

The one achievement from the event that continues to evade me (aside from refusing to do the Light Mech event) is actually "shoot down enemy UAV". No idea whether the enemies just do not use them or I actually miss seeing them in the sky,

I am constantly amazed at how people ignore UAVs. I shoot down at least 3 a match because I look up occasionally.

Pro tip: if your team is getting lurmed to death, there's probably a UAV nearby and you should shoot it down before it kills your team.

I just recorded my 15th straight loss.

I am finding the biggest challenge is being placed in the less awful team, once in four hours.
