Man, this game would be great if weren't for all the dads.... Posted Image

Right? A couple of months ago I was like "I'm awesome!" then to my great regret, my wife gave birth. Now I'm a Dad and absolutely rubbish at this whole 'Mech thing. Also, gamergate.

nah, he is. it's sheer nonsense and further illustration of another very intelligent person getting duped by the fear mongers who have these people by the short and curlies.

So you disregard the opinion of a so called "very intelligent" person as nonsense without giving it a second thought? I dunno man, I feel as though you're missing something obvious here but slapping you in the proverbial face with it might be heart breaking :(

Haha, Battlefield 5 was bad because catering to the "broader audience" ,aka worst player possible, made it a glorified ,dull f2p/mobile game with horrible map/game/ui-design and a 60 bucks price tag. But putting chicks in surely wasnt the problem.
Also, when someone starts rambling about "marxism", whatever he thinks to know that is, u know its going full ritard.
Protip: Never go full ritard. Also stop parroting people that found out that stirring up controversy ,where there is none, is quite the bussiness model.

Meanwhile a. Serkeesian and D. Aurini are ****** each others brain out, celebrating all that sweet youtube/patreon/kickstarter money they made out of gullible peeps fighting their manufacturd "culture wars".

Also ritart is censored here, damn those marxist....

Probably not, PGI is North America company, and in this day and age in NA, any celebration of "conservative values" and "patriarchal society" means you're a bigot, white supremacist, racist, sexist, transphobe, etc.

Pressure on these things in gaming industry is blowing up in current year.

So Canada is now a part of the US...interesting. For your information PGI is a Canadian company sitting in Vancouver, Canada.

Also we have events running for weeks now. We don't need an event on top of an event and beside that not everyone is celebrating it and why the hell do we need holyday event for anyway?
Takeing holydays as a reason to have an event is a nice gift from the creators of the game. Have fun with it and stop complainging when there is none.

It's been rather dramatised by the perpetually offended (who reside on all sides of the debate now that everyone has realised that offence sells), but there is certainly a modern bias in story telling / character design that pushes away from the male hero stereotype. I tend to think that that's down to marketing more than anything else. It's profitable to be inclusive to the point of pushing away men because inclusivity has become a buzzword, and I scarcely believe that all these companies pushing feminism down everyone's throats truly believe a word they are shoveling, they are just in it to curry favour among punters who will buy their product.

With that said, there is certainly a rather active (in terms of loudness rather than numbers) group of people who actually really don't like men, and would love to see the male hero stereotype erased entirely. Since those people tend to be rather loud and obnoxious, and their stories tend to be carried by media outlets who are buying into the hype to boost viewership, I can see how one might begin to feel rather unwelcome in their white, male skin.

Don't bother mate, it is obvious in what camp the person you are replying to sits in. Insulting others and denigrating them, "noticing" how fragile their manly ego is, who whinging they are, is just one part of the same clique.

He/she/it is so sure that what I have written half in jest and half in apprehension of what is going on in gaming industry is false, that it seems that the person lives on another planet, and has missed the MK11 fiasco, Kingdom Come Deliverance fiasco, Battletech gender fallout and now CDPR's Cyberpunk controversy.

Luckily for me I don't live in North America.

And yes, North America is not a country, it's a continent.
