Ghostbusters 2

Rated PG 1989

The **** is back in this fun fright, including Sigourney Weaver (who starred in Alien and The Village), and Rick ******* (from The Flintstones and **********).

The movie begins with a small amount of pink slime on a sidewalk, through which a baby carriage takes off on it's own, seemingly out to cause *********. The mother chases after the speeding tot and rescues her baby named Oscar. Meanwhile the Ghostbusters have been reduced to little more that party ****** while Peter Venkman has become a talk show host for World of the ******.
Dana, played by Weaver, is working in a museum when the painting of a ****** is rolled in. For some reason she gets the feeling that the painting is watching her as a new character is introduced, Dr. **********, who is restoring the work featuring Vigo.
The former Ghostbusters investigate the runaway carriage and end up digging a large hole in the middle of a major street in New York. Lowering Stantz down into an air shaft a river of slime is discovered, and escaping a near ******** from the slime, the Ghostbusters are arrested. In the court room some of the slime is being examined and it still can't be explained. When the judge goes on a verbal ******** the slime ********** producing two ghosts. In order to save his own skin, the judge lifts the ********** order against the Ghostbusters.
One of their first catches in a phantom runner. They do however keep finding more slime, and eventually discover that it reacts to emotion, and even causes a toaster to dance. The Ghostbusters eventually make their way down into an old train tunnel, and despite several rat jokes, and a spooky voice calling Winston's name, they find the river of slime. The slime seems to be pooling underneath the museum featuring the 17th century painting of Vigo the *******.
When Vigo gets hold of the baby Oscar, in hopes of returning, the Ghostbusters use the Statue of Liberty to smash through the protective layer of slime that has formed around the museum and put Vigo in his place.

The movie has some foul words, comical violence, and ****** references. Still it is a good movie, although as the rating says, Parental Guidance suggested. While this movie is not quite as good as the original, it still is entertaining.
