I know it sounds wierd, but sometimes i get the feeling that the combat is lacking abit.

When i walk into a city i se the odd tanks and guns plus some other mercs. Where are the snipers on roof tops, the molotow coctails trown at you etc. Urban combat should not be easy, it should be real hell for big armoured machines. I want to use my MG`s on enemy soldiers and be afraid of the man with the RPG who can damedge a weapon or leg.

When i think of the games in the series it have been alot of "god" playing style. I want the feel as a ww2 tanker.

Where are the big guns, where are the enemy mechs, how strong are the men on the ground.

Men on ground use smoke grenades, jammers etc. In a world with these machines the normal soldier would have some equiptment to atleast being able to put up a fight. Men on ground mark a target, you fire the misile from 6 blocks away etc. You as lance leader cooperate with ground forces and are fire support

Attacking a frontline should be like the opening scene from empire strikes back with the AT-AT`s

I love the games, been piloting since 95, but on the envirement the games always came kinda short.

Anyone else who have the feel ?

Should not the topic be "What I missed in older MW games"? :D

When I think of it, only infatry that stays and fights have weapons, that would hurt us too much to be fielded into PvP game. And mechs used to kill infantry are highly specified (Firestarter, Flea,...). :D

That's why a lot of the mechs carried MG's - not much use against a mech, great against infantry.

That seems something more orientated to PVE environments. The hardware will be strained enough with current mechanics, for multiplayer. Keep pushing for it if they decide to add a singleplayer element after release.

That depends on how you think. I like "campaign" feel in pvp, i normaly dont play games for ´points on a KB i play it for fun and to get the feel im helping out in the general combat. Im a huge fan of coop games. Nothing better to fight and use TS or vent to make coordinatet attacks etc. The flight sim IL2 series could give you a massive sence of being apart of the battle and the war, simply because of the mission builder. Coordinatet attacks on ground and in air. You could bring a massive feel of combat enviroment to others if you made the mission correct. Then you made missions into a campaign and suddently people was playing a 1939-1945 campaign strictly player createt.

I am going to play MWO like a fanatic, cant live without big massive things, but i know that after a year you will know every street and building, all the good places and instead of dynamic combat it will end up some sort of static. A normal gamer only needs a day or so to learn the areas. I like dynamic battles better where you dont know whats around the corner, each time a play :D

enough words lol....as statet i love the game series, going to play MWO to, this was about the feel of the game, not a bash etc :D

Im not saying it wouldnt be great in a PVP environment.... it would be a blast. Its just not feasible from a design point of view, for the moment at least.
